It's just me who thinks Thurman is overrated ?!

IMO Thurman has 2 decent wins in Chaves and Bundu. I can't understand the hype behind of his power . Brook and Porter are much proven as welters.
I'd say Chaves, Guerrero and Bundu. Porters best wins are Alexander, A shot to shit Malignaggi and Broner. Brooks only significant win is Porter. I wouldn't say there's tons between them in turns of victories.apollo creed wrote:IMO Thurman has 2 decent wins in Chaves and Bundu. I can't understand the hype behind of his power . Bradley is one of the biggest duckers and cherry-pickers in Boxing... He's been ducking Thurman for years and also ducked out of a Brook fight... Do you think Bradley would fight Spence??? ... Thurman knocked Chaves out, so who does Bradley fight??? Chaves... Vargas just scored a career best victory. NOW he's a top grade opponent... When Bradley fought him he hadn't beaten anyone good and hadn't scored a KO in YEARS!!!!gilgamesh wrote:None of the current Welterweight Top 10 have an especially deep resume because they won't fight each other. He fought Juan Manuel Marquez straight off of his knockout of Manny Pacquiao. He fought Pacquiao 3 times...a fight with Pacquiao is worth infinitely more than a fight with Thurman. He's never ducked Thurman because he's never been offered a fight with Thurman. If he was I guarantee you he'd fight him in a heartbeat.Kalan wrote:Bradley is one of the biggest duckers and cherry-pickers in Boxing... Yeah I think its hard to shit on Bradleys resume- this is a guy that's foughtgilgamesh wrote:He fought Juan Manuel Marquez straight off of his knockout of Manny Pacquiao. Do I think Bradley would fight Spence? No...I KNOW Bradley would fight Spence.
Bradley is a warrior. He's not afraid of anybody. He's not the best Welterweight out there I don't think, but he's a real fighter, and he's willing to fight the best because he wants to prove he's the best.
If Spence or Thurman were to want to fight him next I have absolutely no doubt Tim would jump at the opportunity. I wouldn't be surprised if Canelo came calling for Bradley. Fighting smaller men is kinda Canelo's thing...and Tim Bradley would say yes too, because he's a real fighter.
He definitely needs a haircut and a clean shave.Rexob wrote:He needs a haircut I can't take him serious with that mop, so yes.
I personally still think he'll end up being a top 3/5 welterweight though. I'd give him a good shot against the current crop. I think Spence is definietly a style matchup for him though- he's not looked comfortable with aggressive southpaws (when Guerrero and Collazo adopted that strategy) so its hard to imagine him fairing well against Spence. Then again I think most of the welterweights are gonna end up having a hard time with him. I'm not as high on him as a lot of others are (more a style preference than anything) but he'll be a tough fight for any of the top names at present.crusader wrote:I don't think he's overrated, and after his string of back-foot performances it seems to me like there aren't many people who are still very high on him.
He's good but nothing special IMO.
Thurman moves quicker on his feet than Spence who IMO is a little flat footed.Chepppaaa wrote:power 10

so yeah, a bit overrated, since athletism place a big factor in how the boxer is capable to moves on his feet, upper body movemant etc
