"We had numerous discussions first with allegedly and (Billy Joe) Saunders and that seemed to not go very far. It looks like Saunders wants to keep that WBO title for as long as possible without having to fight Gennady. Again, you can't force someone to fight him. Eddie (Hearn) contacted me and said Chris Eubank - both Sr. and Jr. - were interested in the fight. from boxing scene

BJS and his promoter know very well that Golovkin wants that WBO belt to accomplish his goal , so they are asking as much as they can.

WBO needs to enforce Saunders vs Khurtsidze.

Doesn't really matter if Saunders fights him or not. The whole division is a bunch of cowards. Credit to Eubank Jr. for having the balls to want to fight Golovkin. Though I'd very much enjoy watching GGG beat the sh*t out of him.

I watched a recent interview with Warren, and he was about as close to suggesting that his fighter would lose as a promoter gets; I was surprised that he didn't try to dress his response up more.

That's why the WBO route looks so tasty for Alvarez.

Could well be. The only way for canelo to salvage some credibility at middleweight.
