Rumours of this going around now...pehaps it explains Hughie's terrible back acne?
From the British section: "According to the Sunday Mirror both Tyson and Hughie allegedly tested positive for Nandrolone last year. Investigations are ongoing. Fury camp has known about the findings since last September. It is UKAD not WADA so they'll probably get away with it in court, if they've done anything wrong, if they've got a legal budget of at least a fiver."

Boxer Tyson Fury has become embroiled in a doping investigation, we can reveal.
The world heavyweight champ is being probed by officials after traces of a banned anabolic steroid were allegedly discovered in a sample taken last year.
If found guilty of doping, he could lose his three world title belts and face a lengthy ban.
Experts are understood to have found unacceptable levels of nandrolone in a sample taken before he won the world title from Wladimir Klitschko.
Positive effects of the drug, naturally occurring in the body, include muscle growth.
His cousin Hughie, a fellow heavyweight boxer, also allegedly tested positive for the substance.
Both Fury, 27, and his cousin have denied any wrongdoing.
Test samples understood to have been taken between February and March last year, ahead of Fury’s first bout with the former champ, sparked the probe by UK Anti-Doping officials. It is understood Fury and his cousin then attended a meeting in September, when he was told the levels of the steroid found were higher than the body would naturally produce. But the officials insisted they wanted to investigate further. Fury is expected to be brought before an independent panel alongside his cousin to explain why high traces of the substances were allegedly found. It is understood the British Boxing Board of Control has been made aware of the situation and will await the inquiry’s outcome before deciding what action to take
Sophie Ashcroft of UK Anti-Doping said: “UK Anti-Doping does not discuss or disclose details of any cases until due legal process has been completed.” Fury has spoken of a need to crack down on drugs in boxing. In November, he said: “Boxing has a big problem with drugs. But it doesn’t bother me because at the end of the day it’s about determination.”
BBBoC chief Robert Smith said he did not agree there was a “major problem” in the sport. Fury revealed on Friday he had been forced to postpone his July 9 rematch with Klitschko, who he beat last November, due to ankle injury. His promoter Mick Hennessy says: “There is no way we could let Tyson fight a man like Klitschko when anything less than 100 per cent fit.”

I've always wondered about Hughie's acne, especially when he didn't always have it. We'll have to await the results of the investigation.

Ya, I agree. We'll have to see what else comes out, but that acne is very suspicious.

I'm not at all surprised either.
This should have been made public many months ago, why did they wait until now?

I'm English but this does seem very suspicious that this has been known since September 2015. 9 plus months wtf. Surely Klitschko should have been made aware that there was an investigation ongoing atleast.

There's something weird going on here, what's with the delay?

Delay is for legal reasons
Like the tiny Thompson fight vs price

What bs. These phony drug tests are going to disqualify almost everyone.

Did VADA do the testing for the Wlad-Fury fight? If so they cant take his titles if he passed those tests. I dont think so anyway.

"So Wlad is champ again."
Then they can "discover" that Wlad is using something. And don't tell me Wilder and Joshua aren't. How about disqualifying everyone and starting over...or forget about the whole thing and just enforce extreme amounts of drug abuse, like what wrestlers were doing with steroids a few years ago, because all the elite athletes are playing the angles, even school kids, and it's just coming down to who has the better drug doctors who will help them pass drug tests and who the drug testers want to "get".

No these suspicious samples were from February/March last year! Take by UKAD (united Kingdom anti-doping) but for some reason the Fury's were told about the suspicious results in September last year. I'm English but this seems shady as fornicate. ,

I dont disagree. I know full well cheating is rampant in combat sports.

So he got popped by a random testing likely during training. That's when most of the cheating occurs.

Seems that way if he has tested positive.

Too late now.
Should have dropped that paycheck in the mailbox when you had the occasion, Fury.

I've heard that before.
If there is someone in boxing I wont feel sorry for it is Tyson Fury. However, I think his win over Klitschko was more don to skill then doping.

I don't understand. Fury is fat, doesn't have tremendous knockout power or cardio and doesn't have huge muscle but he of all people is on PEDS...? They picked like the worst boxer to send accusations to.

PEDs aren't going to make everyone look like an Adonis, and it's not a matter of having 'tremendous' abilities as much as it is having abilities that are greater than they'd be without the substances.
On the last point, Larry Olubamwio was 10-3 before his sanction for using, but only 1-16 after.

Hopefully both are found guilty. Boxing would be so much better off without the Fury family.
