Will Joshua face Parker next?

Anthony Joshua's IBF mandatory is Joseph Parker. Will the IBF order this or will we see something like what the WBC do letting Wilder fight bums?

We have seen how long the IBF can take with forcing mandatories in regards to Soliman and have seen how quick they stripped Fury, any guess is a good guess

It will most likely happen around march/april 2017, Eddie Hearn spoke about it last night actually.

I have a really bad feeling he's going to face David Price next.

David Price knocked him out in sparring. Do you have a link of Joshua saying hes chasing Price.

Both Joshua&Parker were managed perfectly so far, so it will take some time till they climb the same ring. It's stupid to let two golden gooses fight each other too fast
IBF "eliminator" suppose to have Parker vs Pulev first. Joshua will have at least one voluntary first (Haye? Price?)
Maybe we'll see Joshua vs Wilder before (if Wilder's manager will decide that British PPV worth the risk and Joshua's manager will be sure in his boxer).

And maybe Riabinski will pay IBF 100M to bring Joshua to Moscow to fight Povetkin

It's my gut feeling. Price is ranked with the IBF and he said yesterday that AJ should fight him next. It's exactly the nonsense that Hearn would make as AJ's next defence.

Price is forever chasing Joshua. He should wait his turn.

I just read a story where a pundit said..., "It looked to me like Joshua could have taken Breazeale out at any time if he wanted to. He appeared to keep Breazeale around to get work in and perhaps show the boxing fans that he can fight past the fourth without gassing out"
He was trying to finish him off, but he wasn't in a hurry. He didn't carry the guy. He hit him with shots that would have knocked a lot of Heavyweights out earlier. This is Boxing. He didn't want a slugfest with a guy who stands 6'7" X 255 just to see who had the strongest chin.
AJ worked a lot harder in the Whyte Fight, took more punches, and expended more energy. So the fans already knew he could go 7 rounds. If he wanted to carry somebody to get work in he could have done the Golovkin-Murray strategy. Carry Breazeale 10 rounds, and then plan to knock him out in the 11th or 12th. I'm not sure how much that helps you. I'm not sure that proves anything, because the man is not hitting you back or putting killing pressure on you. It's not a situation like Thurman-Porter where the Energizer Bunny is coming after you and he's got a piece of steel for a head.
One of the stupid things commentators always say is "We don't know if he can go 12 rounds." ... WTF is so hard about going 12 rounds? All you have to do is be an anemic f***ing hitter and you'll go 12 rounds every fight for 5 years running like May & Pac... If you can go 15 rounds in the gym against 8 sparring partners with 23oz gloves, you can go 12 rounds with 10oz gloves. Are you going to gas out like Sugar Ray Robinson did because he was fighting somebody 15 pounds heavier who could absorb everything SRR threw with no problem??? And it was night time, so there was no hot blazing sun blasting down on Ray, but it was hot outside??? So the first time AJ has to go 8 rounds somebody's going to say "We know AJ can go 8 rounds now. We never knew that before." If he were getting the crap punched out him like Breazeale and Whyte there'd be a question of whether he'd make it into the 5th. It's like you're walking downtown and you're not sure you can make it to 5th Ave because you never walked that far before, so who knows, you might have a heart attack.

Yeah, this.
Eliminator was Takam vs Parker. Parker ranked no.1 IBF contender and mandatory challenger. No need for an eliminator now.

Pulev isn't bad. Better than Arreola for Wilder.

Joshua would have stopped Takam- I'm almost certain of it.

Joshuas powerful but Takam is tough and is not like anyone Joshuas fought before. Takam moves more than any of AJs past opponents as Takam is more athletic than Joshuas opponents also more experienced. I would AGAIN successfully predict a 12 rounder with these 2 if they meet soon.

I can see Hearn mentioning every top name in the division then signing Joshua up to fight Gerald Washington. Wait for it.

After Joshua signing his deal with Showtime expect to see him in with another American before Parker.
I'd guess at first choice Jennings, second choice Scott.

The IBF is actually the only organization that enforces their mandatories and sticks to strict rules. It will definitely happen. Not sure when it's due, might have a voluntary in the fall and parker early next year.

Interesting fight. AJ will be favourite, but I've impressed with Parker and IMO, he's faster.
To be fair, Parkers win against Takam is better than anyone on AJs resume.
I think AJ beats him at this point though.
