I personally think Herring will get the decision.

The odds have dropped significantly in Herrings favour since the media workout.

I havent seen much of Herring but i think this might have come a year too early for him,Shafikov still at the top level and i feel he might have too much experience for Jamel

I think Shafikov might struggle with taller fighters; although, he did rip Nugaev a new one. He lost to Vazquez and Barthelemy who are tall but talented fighters.

How the hell was he the favourite? He looked inept in every facet of the game...staggering how garbage he was...couldn't jab, couldn't move without looking like he was slipping over his feet, seemed unable to move his head...or block a shot...he'd he make it to the Olympics?
Jesus Christ ...he may have been one of the very worst fighters I've seen this year

Has Shafikov always been trained by Sanchez?

I'm not surprised at all. Herring has looked terrible from what I've seen. Didn't catch the fight but I'm glad for Shafikov.

Yea he looked like a big stiff. Slow too. Fought way too tall and seemed like he had no game plan to fight a guy that short

That was a beatdown. It reminded me of Khurtsidze-Douglas (short veteran walking down and beating up a much taller, unbeaten prospect), although Douglas had more moments than Herring did.

Herring wasn't ready for a pressure fighter with a touch of class like the little Russian Tank.

Nowhere near enough purpose on Herring's jab to keep someone as aggresive as Shafikov off,no belief in any of Jamal's punches actually, must have been frustrating for his corner

I take an instant dislike (because it saves time) to any fighter who turns up to a weigh-in and staredown with his headphones on. Particularly if they are Dre Beats ones. Just makes them look like muppets.

Herring made Shafikov look like a world beater.
Excluding Spence the rest of the 2012 team are way overrated and the worst US team in living memory.

The team was certainly awful, but I think Warren may turn out ok.

WBA mandating Mcdonnell next. I think Mcdonnell outworks him to a clear decision.
