Ricky Burns, Kirill Relikh Have 30 Days To Reach a deal.

I've watched a bit of him on youtube- he's half decent. Definietly better than Burns previous opponent (not that, that is saying anything). He boxed under Hatton promotions.crusader wrote:That's the first time I've heard of Relikh, although going by BoxRec (which has him at #223) he's fought in the UK three times.
The old Burns I'd agree but he's not looked that great for awhile. He looked okay against Di Rocco but he was extremely poor in fairness.Stuffs wrote:Was at his last fight in Bolton.
Got a decent dig, but Burns should be able to handle him without too much problem.
From what I've seen of both, including both those fights live and on TV, as well as a bit of YouTubing (the REAL determining factor to make ms such an expert lol) Relikh is better than Di Rocco, but not by miles.lefty wrote:The old Burns I'd agree but he's not looked that great for awhile. Same with Rabchenko another Belarussian who had high hopes til getting beat from Old Man Mundine.chris123 wrote:I think Hatton is pretty high on this guy, not that that necessarily means anything.
Was high on Zhakiyanov tooShadrachSimmo wrote:Same with Rabchenko another Belarussian who had high hopes til getting beat from Old Man Mundine.chris123 wrote:I think Hatton is pretty high on this guy, not that that necessarily means anything.
If Ricky was still fighting next of you he'd be a dead cert though eh?billy nelson wrote:Ive had a fighter sparring the lad from Belarus and he can punch very hard but can be outboxed and therein lies Rickys beast chance, if he goes toe to toe with this lad Ricky could be in trouble
not at all this guy has I say can punch but be out boxed, what part of that don't you understand, it's got nothing to do with being with me or not it's an assessment, so please stop being a cockStuarty30 wrote:If Ricky was still fighting next of you he'd be a dead cert though eh?billy nelson wrote:Ive had a fighter sparring the lad from Belarus and he can punch very hard but can be outboxed and therein lies Rickys beast chance, if he goes toe to toe with this lad Ricky could be in trouble

Cock? Shut up Billy and away and take your rubber face for a shite. You done a good job with Burns but if you were half the trainer you think you are then we'd be producing a lot better! I remember you and Belshaws ' banter as to who is the best trainer in Scotland! 'Alright second best trainer in Scotland' blah blah! Get on with your job and stop letting talent slip through the net! I'll worry about me being a 'cock' so you can get on with that!billy nelson wrote:not at all this guy has I say can punch but be out boxed, what part of that don't you understand, it's got nothing to do with being with me or not it's an assessment, so please stop being a cockStuarty30 wrote:If Ricky was still fighting next of you he'd be a dead cert though eh?billy nelson wrote:Ive had a fighter sparring the lad from Belarus and he can punch very hard but can be outboxed and therein lies Rickys beast chance, if he goes toe to toe with this lad Ricky could be in trouble
Good point. That made me look and switch on the points column in their records. Comes down to the fact that Dodd has beaten Buckland, Di Silvio and 'drawn' agaisnt Cardle. Whereas the Belarussian lad has basically fought a pile of gym bouts in Belarus and the guys he beat for the bauble had massively inflated records based on fightding debutants and cannon fodder. In this case, the boxrec rating is a pretty fair comparison of who they've actually fought, if not their actual abilities.Londonirish wrote:
I still don't know how the Rating on boxers work, this fella is 21-0 with 19 KO's. He is the WBA Inter-Continental Super Lightweight Title and is ranked 223 in the world. With the like of Sean Dodd 11-2-1 and he is 68
Maybe Ricky was just generally high?Boxing Prospect wrote:Was high on Zhakiyanov tooShadrachSimmo wrote:Same with Rabchenko another Belarussian who had high hopes til getting beat from Old Man Mundine.chris123 wrote:I think Hatton is pretty high on this guy, not that that necessarily means anything.
