Hypothetical matchup - David Price vs Dominic Breazeale

How would you see this fight playing out? It's pretty clear Price wants the Joshua fight but I have a feeling Breazeale would actually beat Price. He'd weather his power and take him out. Curious to hear others thoughts if this fight were ever to occur?

Can I just ask what you thought what you seen in Breazeale that he could take Price out? I didn't see him do anything offensively to trouble AJ and he is hittable I'd say Price hits harder than AJ and expect Pricey to stop him around the same time AJ did

He has a high KO ratio. Aside from that- Price falls apart mentally and physically if someone can absorb his power. It happened in both of the Thompson fights and even in the Teper fight (although I know the latter was on PED's).

i see this as an easy win for Breazeale simply because he breazeale seemed to take a few decent shots before going down and Price is chinny and has no stamina

Yeah I see your points, Pricey also has a high KO percentage but I didn't see anything offensively about Breazelae that particularly excited me, Pricey obviously needs a few wins of note before he can be chatting getting in with AJ though

nothing to suggest price hits harder than Joshua.

Breazeale wins by easy stoppage.

Go on then. What is there to suggest Price hits harder than Joshua.

I see an entertaining fight. Breazeale comes from behind to win late against a gassed Price.

Price looks gun shy, low on confidence with no plan B. I think Breazeale could get to him and when he does he'll fold. Both guys are pretty limited but I'd edge Breazeale because I think he's tougher.

Forget hypothetical, I'd like to see this. I think stamina is Prices issue. Any heavyweight worth his salt, especially on drugs should be able to spark another man in the ring. Price got caught flush against Teper.

Against Thompson he looked cooked after a few rounds.

If he sorted his stamina out he'd be a match for Breazeale as long as he doesn't get clipped too cleanly. You can't deny his POOWAAAA!

I would predict that Breazeale would give Price all sorts of problems.

Price would be able to outbox Breazeale for a few rounds, but Breazeale would inevitably catch him with a big shot and end his night.

Great match up. Would like to see this one. Would actually put Price right back amongst it in the eyes of the Sky Boxing Fans who bought into Breazeale being the 17 & 0 machine he was hyped before AJ's recent PPV.

I'd have to take Breazeale if the same price I watched against Teper.

My money would firmly be on Breazeale by stoppage.

Predictable answer on the mentality front. He may not be a world ( or European class) boxer, but Price is still competent. Tony Thompson was probably a lot more experienced than him and outboxed him to my memory, to score two good, creditable KOs.

When I look at the trajectory of Price’s and Fury’s respective careers it’s weird. Price must almost match him for size but I think Fury’s approach to keeping busy was better. I still think Price would give him a good fight but no way does he get a slice of that pie.
