What's everyone's thoughts on this fight ?

Too soon for Allen he was saying himself he didn't have enough time to prepare properly. Should be a good fight though and I still have doubts about Dillians shoulder.

Can't believe this is confirmed tbh. I thought it was way off! What a week for surprises! I think Whyte has far far too much for Allen.

don't really know much about Allen, did he do anything in the ams ?

just had a look at Allens record, nothing there to suggest he can trouble whyte, fair play for stepping up though

Win, win for Allen gets his name up there, you never know he might give Whyte problems? Whyte has only fought Joshua and got nailed to the floor so who knows.

I see Allen coming forward, throwing bombs with power, while Whyte retreats & fights a rope a dope style, trying to fiddle his way to a points decision.

Depending on what shape Allen keeps himself, a three week camp is nowhere near long enough.

I assume they just offered Allen a load of cash, as I know he wanted a proper camp but it sounds like they were struggling for opponents for Whyte.

I can see Whyte stopping Allen around the halfway mark.

He won the nabc national title and the senior novice title if I remember right. Beat one of my lads on points on a club show..didnt have loads of eexperience..agood prospect who hasnt pushed on Iimo. His dad was a pro welter of the same name

Fair play to Dave Allen he's a hungry fighter who wants his chance Price should definitely have fought him in his last fight but instead chose to fight a Czech security guard.

Personally I want him to win and don't think it it out of the question considering how bad Whyte looked in his last fight.

I think of it like this, except AJ Allen would probably beat everyone else in Whytes resume.
I just hope he is in good shape as 3 weeks notice is not ideal.

Completely agree. I would expect Whyte to win but it's far from a sure thing - Whyte's best win is v Minto, whose last fights have shown he has become a journeyman.

Allen can win actually, if he runs and hits time over time over time, like David Haye did against Nicolay Valuev, Valuev was far better and showed it in most rounds, but somehow David Haye had the refs on his side. That could happen between Whyte and Allen as well.
