back than elite boxing basicly consisted of 2 main couontrys: USA & Mejico, also a litle bit some top boxers from Puerto Rico, UK. but mostly from 2 countrys and like 2-3 big promoters who made the big fights, guess don king, arum......thats it.

now, boxing is much more global. you got top boxers from Japan, you got a lot of Cuban talents leaving Cuba for USA and mostly you got top boxers from Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan realy taking over Boxing. Just to many countrys, to many promoters, to many managers, to many tv markets. inoue doesnt need to leave Japan, he is making good money their and they have a good Boxing exposure in Japan. also UK is getting stronger and stronger, they make good cards over their. back than you needed to go to the US to become a true elite boxer, now a top UK Boxer can make a big time fight with a fellow UK boxer and sell out an Stadium, better than any Stadium in the US (Wembley).
