Good post :TU: Some really good fights there. I think Taylor is a star in the making and will show it in the next 18-24 months. Carslaw v Towell would be interesting as would Clark v Paulin.

IMO both Clark and Carslaw win they fights. Both had hard fights and learned from them. Think Kris may be different level at welter. Mike just won purse bids for Dale Evans so prob be fighting on saltire show

Never knew Towell won the purse, thats good news,Evans fighting on saturday so hope he comes through unscathed, when you reckon this fight will come off? Saltire never seem the most hurried promoters in the business so i'll guess at least September

I'm not sure about Kris at Welter tbh. I thought he was big at 154. I couldn't believe it when I heard he's moving down.

There's a young boy Sam Ball from over my way that I've heard a few people talking about. Apparently very capable. Only 21. Do you know much about him? I haven't had the chance to see him yet.

Let's have some of it

The Scott Allan vs Jamie Wilson fight will happen imo, wasn't it already scheduled but something happened with Scott Allan?

Would like to see Jon Slowey vs both Stephen Tiffany and Joe Ham but imo the fight with Joe Ham and Stephen Tiffany won't happen unless it's for a British Eliminator at least.

If Jon Slowey is fighting at Feather I'd like that fight with Darren, they both have unfinished business from the amateurs!

If Mick Roberts can make Featherweight then a fight between him and Darren would also be appealing but I'd like that to be for an Eliminator.

Ronnie vs Lewis Paulin imo wouldn't really do anything for either boxer at the minute, Ronnie is looking at fighting for the British and Lewis is just starting his career.

Charlie Flynn vs Lewis Ritson won't happen imo because Lewis has moved back down to Newcastle.

Lewis Benson vs Jason Easton for the Scottish title would be a great fight, Lewis has had the upper hand in the amateurs but would be interesting to see how this goes over 10 rounds.

Josh Taylor, would like to see him have a couple more fights and then imo he would be ready for any welterweight in Scotland, very good skills and the work with Shane McGuigan is paying off especially with the extra help of Terry McCormack at the Lochend gym.

Would like to see Mike Towell vs John Thain and Kris Carslaw, both of these fights would be interesting in different ways!

Gary Murray vs Sam Ball could be made very soon for the Scottish title.

Conner Law and Craig McEwan are training together (or were) and I don't see that fight happening. Same as I don't see Conner moving up in weight to fight David Brophy, he has only recently moved up to Middleweight and David has been a career Super Middle.

Grant Quigley vs Tommy Philbin would be a great fight and is one of the more likely ones

John McCallum vs Brian Forsyth would be a good clash of styles and could be made pretty easily for the Scottish Super Middle title.

Haven't heard much from Ross Henderson lately, think he has been injured but if Gary Cornish was to win the Commonwealth title I think this fight would be miles away from being made tbh.

The guy at the barbers round the corner I go to helps sponsor him and is always talking him up. Heard nothing but good things. Hopefully get to see him soon :TU:

I watched Sam ball on the burns undercard. He got dropped from a head shot from George hennon in the first round but came back strong. Looks massive for the weight.

I can't see them taking it. Will say he's a featherweight despite never making the weight.

Some really good fights there and ones that should be made. Or could be made.
From our point of view Kash Farooq 1 or 2 fights away from Allan or Wilson but would probably box at Super Flyweight on day before weigh in. Adam McKenzie another who could be part of that mix.
Sam Ball is part of a group of fighters below Carslaw, Towell and Thain. Some good Scottish title fights there Stuart Burt, Gary Murray possibly Marc Kerr. Could include Craig Kelly and Stephan Sanderson in there to.
Grant Quigley been out since January and needs a couple of fights but by turn of year any of those fights would be good 50/50 matches Philabin or Forsyth.
John Simpson looking to come back for a last shot. John v Ronnie Clark at super feather could be a classic.
Carslaw will be back hopefully September at Welter and I'm sure will take any fight put to him. We have won the purse bids for Towell v Evans and depending on venue will be September/ October. That bout will be a cracker. We may not seem in a rush although we put on 10 shows last year between Saltire and St Andrews.
Mackay v Collins at lightweight was heating up into a good fight before a bad cut halted that fight in 4 rounds. We are looking to put that back on and have the fight settled properly.
Not involving our fighters I would like to see
Traynor v Roberts
Benson v Easton
Henderson v Cornish
Connor Law v Ryhs Pagan at middle
Joe Ham v Tiffany , but agree with David. Will be a way down the line.
I think all mentioned could happen and possibly make good rematches and rubber matches. The public are demanding it and I think the promoters also want to see it happen.
