most impressive thing about de la hoya for me is his resume, the amount of top level or "name" fighters on his record takes some beating, he fought practically every significant name from multiple divisions in his era

Yep the guy fought basically everyone yet still cops criticism. At his best around 140 he was a beast

An ATG, never on the receiving end of a one sided beatdown until his very last fight, prior to that, all of his losses, to other ATGs were either close contests or even very disputable. Oh, and he was a celebrated amateur and olympic gold medalist.
