Is Adrien Broner the dumbest boxer ever?

jay-z offered him around 40 million, he said no
arum wants pacquiao-broner and ab doesnt want to fight him, wants more money
was a gifted super featherweight boxer and instead if training and maybe go 1 division higher and build his talent, he decides to go to welterweight as soon as possible to be ridicouled by maidana and later lose a clear ud against porter, simply put it, the dude is to weak for ww and jumped division to early
basicly is waisting his talent by not training, partying and always having police problems
I mean, i like broner, i think he funny, but damn does jump from mistake to mistake......i mean how come he wont fight pacquiao, which would be 100 % on ppv, like he would do more $$$ boxing porter II or danny garcia lol.....cant think of any boxer with his natural talent doing more dumb stuff...

Gifted?
He's certainly not intelligent. Dumbest ever? That's a lot of sorting.

Having some gifts does not = being gifted, I think is the problem there

The fact he doesn't know when to shut up would put him above of guys who are simply not bright when it comes to the list of dumbest.

This is what happens when an uneducated, dirt poor kid from the projects goes from one day hustling money on the streets to 6 and 7 digit paydays over night. Then surround him with nothing but "hangers on" and "yes men", you have a delusional young kid with too much too soon.
We look down on him because we can't relate and can't see the bigger picture. But if you put things into perspective, most young people would have hard time adjusting to this kind of success. Floyd had generations of fighters to pave the way for him. Broner had no one. Who from Cincinnati ever fought worth a damn? Broner is the one paving the way for his community and he's failing for sure because he's flying blind.
He's still young enough to turn his life around and certainly has the talent to do so. I think that he passed on the Manny fight because of the legal issues he has to deal with soon. He's facing some serious time behind bars. I would think that has to be tough to deal with while training for the fight of your life. I hope Broner does turn it around because it would be a good story and show kids that you can turn your life around.

Surely the Cincinnati Cobra Ezzard Charles no?
Broner is really dumb. No way is he going to ever make 40 million against anyone else.

Poor Ezzard's been dead for quite a while. He was not around to mentor Broner and no one else that i know of from Cincinnati got anywhere close to Broner's level in the sport. I may be an idiot per usual but i really think it makes a huge difference to have someone showing these kids the ropes. Floyd was groomed since age 4 to be a fighter and a lot of these other fighters had others pave the way. I just don't think that Broner had that luxury and we are seeing the effects of an under educated kid without any guidance walk the minefield that comes as a million dollar athlete.

Great examples here man. I stand corrected. I wish one of them tried to help Broner out. Maybe they did and i'm talking out of my ass again. Maybe Broner's a dink regardless and it's no one's fault but his. He's still young. 3 time world champ already. He could get himself on top again if he gets his act together. This world loves to forgive.
