Does anyone recognize this gym which I believe existed in the Los Angeles area in the early 1960s? It was used in an episode of the CBS television series "Route 66" called "A Feat Of Strength" (1962).

This is apparently the office. Actor Joe De Santis (left) plays a character loosely based on Howie Steindler. Actor Jack Warden is at right.

There was no second floor balcony/corridor at Steindler's fabled Main St. Gym, as shown in the top photo.

I think I spent half of the 70s inside that place.

I'm also familiar with the Hoover St. Gym (Cannonball Green's stomping grounds) and it's also not that place.

Again, there was no second floor at Hoover St.

What makes you certain vatech1983, that it's actually a gym interior and not a stage set?

The Main St. Gym was used in countless television shows and films, but that's definitely not MSG, which was sadly demolished in the mid-1980s.

I still weep.
