I am a major fan of (geek for) George Bellows’ “Dempsey v. Firpo” painting (1925); I have spent 30 years searching the back walls of TV and film sets, looking for the painting.
Sightings so far:
Oscar Madison’s office wall, “The Odd Couple” (TV, 1968)
Richie, Potsie, and Ralph’s first apartment, living room wall, “Happy Days” (1974)
Big Ragu’s apartment, over bed, “Laverne & Shirley” (1976)
Goodfellas, in a bar, behind/between Henry and Tommy when discussing their intent to whack Morris (1990)
In Robert Shapiro’s home when speaking with F. Lee Bailey, “The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story” (2016)
A Rock’em, Sock’em Robots interpretation hanging on Sheldon and Leonard’s apartment wall (2007)
If you know of any please take a moment and tell me, thanks. [smile]
