Tapales is a high paced southpaw stalker warrior who could argue having not loss a fight in the last 5 years... His only loss was in Mx, by MD vs David Sanchez in what was a spectacular barn burner. He has good power punch combo fluidity that grinds his opponent... He can mix the uppercuts, body work and leaping left hooks pretty easily while walking down his opponents. Also has a good counter right hook
He won an eliminator bout vs Omori who he stopped to get this shot at the belt.
Pungluang always had a fun style. Pungluang vs Ambunda was a FOTY Contender and Round of the Year Contender (Rnd 5)

Pungluang looked great in his recent fight against a serious challenge vs Akaho for the vacant title. He gave him no respect and went all out using all the tricks and tools he gathered in his busy career.
In his last fight, he outboxed Pabustan till the fight was stopped on cuts.
This is an EXCELLENT matchup entertainment wise. It will be a barn burner while it lasts. I have a feeling both will be displaying a very high rate so Tapales will need several KDs or a stoppage to win.
possible FOTY contender IMO
