Frampton should be number one. How can you ditch Walsh and Smith but have Haye there? Afolabi has retired. Khan and Murray too high.

I'd tend to agree with that. Fury is up there mostly on the basis of his victory over Klitchsko, but Frampton has just beaten a guy on the top 15 P4P list (I'd say) and he had another smashing win before that.
I don't see how any British (or Irish) fighter could be up there ahead of Carl at the moment.

Fury did beat someone that was widely recognised as number 3 p4p. Liam Smith is too low surely, OK his resume is weak but he is a world champion and surely shouldn't be below the likes of Nurse, Skeete .................

How is Beefy out? I'm surprised at that, he's been fighting fairly regularly, is a reigning World Champion and has been knocking his challengers out convincingly.
Think there's definitely a lack of respect there, Mr Horse.

Frampton is not the true champion in his weight division, Fury is.
Walsh and Smith haven't been doing much recently and neither has stepped above domestic level yet.
Afolabi will probably be taken out next month.
I don't think either Khan or Murray are too high.

Fury is the undisputed champion and Frampton isn't.
Klitschko is a much bigger win than Santa Cruz.

Just because he doesn't have all the belts doesn't mean he's not the best does it? It's definitely open to interpretation at least. Framptons win for me is every bit as impressive as Furys over Wlad when you take everything into consideration.
If Walsh and Smith haven't been doing anything recently then why is Haye and the retired Afolabi in there. You also have a few more in there who haven't fought beyond domestic level.
Khan and Murray are always too high

I'd say that's disputable, given that Wlad is pushing 40, I'd say there's at least grounds for debate. LSC was a 3 weight champion. Frampton's career overall, the win over Wlad notwithstanding is more impressive.

Liam Smith is the least credible world champion in boxing. His title means very little.
Nurse and Skeete have better records.

Why should I respect him?
His opposition wouldn't even be good for a British or Commonwealth champion.

Well that is subjective & maybe another conversation entirely.
The fact remains however, that he is still a World Champion at Light Middleweight.

No he is not.
He is, rightfully, ranked as The Number One Heavyweight in the world - but that does not autimatically make him "The Undisputed Champion".
The term "Undisputed" actually means that a fighter has to hold all 4 World Titles simultaneously.
And the last guy to do that was Jermain Taylor back when he beat Bernard Hopkins for the 4 titles.

Joshua and Crolla are far too low, whilst as usual Khan is far too high. 5th?? When did he last beat a top quality opponent? Devon Aleksander was shot to pieces.

Santa Cruz is a good fighter, but his record is pretty lacking to be comparing him to Klitschko.
Santa Cruz might go on to build an excellent record, but he's really nothing special at the moment.
Frampton has no real claim to being
the featherweight champion. Hopefully he goes on to become the undisputed champion, but he's not there yet.

Afolabi and Haye have both shown themselves to be world class in the past.
Walsh and Smith haven't ventured much higher than English title level yet and I think them both dropping out this month is fair.
Stuarty30 wrote:Khan and Murray are always too high

Khan and Murray both have very good records and deserve far more respect than they get.

I'm not comparing him to Klitschko. Im just saying when you look at both wins in comparison. LSC is a three weight world champion in his prime and held all the physical advantages over Frampton. He was favourite with most folk. LSC was there to win and it was a classic battle.
Klitschko is nearing the end of his career and dominated a very poor heavyweight division. You're putting Fury as P4P no1 based on one win. He's had one world title fight and Carl has had several. Frampton should be top IMO.

Just think Khan is much too high as he hasn't won a fight for over a year.. he definitely shouldn't have any world champs below him

Really? who would you say holds that accolade at the moment? Which of the 4 Champions?
Because going in to the fight, Leo Santa Cruz was ranked as The Number One Featherweight in the world.

You're being extremely disrespectful to both Smith and Walsh. Both are undefeated former British champions and far beyond domestic level never mind English title level FFS! They are far more accomplished than the likes of Skeete (no disrespect).
Murray and Khan do deserve respect but they're not as good as you like to make out.

Just checked the Featherweight rankings, BoxRec have LSC ranked 3rd... Though he was 2nd yesterday?

I don't think Frampton's overall record is much stronger than Fury's. The Martinez wins are losing credibility at a steady rate.
Overall record is important, but I think that the best result of a fighter's career is perhaps the most important thing.
It
is up for debate, but I think the Klitschko win is much bigger than the Santa Cruz win.
