Who fought in the most country's as a fighter and as a champion?

Ali must have fought in a lot of different country's as a champ? any other boxers who have fought in more country's' as a champ or in their career?

As a fighter, I believe the answer is Eddie Perkins with about 23 different countries on his resume. As champion, perhaps Brian Mitchell. I can't think of how many offhand, but when the WBA refused to sanction bouts in South Africa he - as champion - had to take it on the road.

Looking at it closely now that I've had time, Mitchell had about 7 countries to his list as a champ. I thought Carlos Ortiz and Ali had him beat with 8, but Eusebio Pedrosa seems to head the list with 9 countries on his record as champion.

Lorenzo Parra a recent Flyweight Champion hit the road quite a bit.

Won his title in Puerto Rico, defended it in Japan, South Korea, France...and then fought for other World Titles in his home country of Venezuela and Panama

So that's 6...well Puerto Rico's not technically a Country, but it might as well be. He wasn't the defending Champion anymore on the latter two though just a fighter taking a shot at a title.

The great Panama Al Brown fought in 18 countries across the globe. A true world champion.

The great Joltin' Joe Brown fought in 15 different countries across the world. Another true world champion.

But, the great Eusebio Pedroza got the world record of most title defenses in opponents' backyards with 10. He used to go to your own hometown city and kick your ass. Now, that's a utterly confident champion. :TU:
