I think I might be the only person that dislikes him as a commentator. I don't know what it is exactly about his style of commentary but I'm not a huge fan. I'm curious to whether there's any other folk that aren't that keen on him?

I agree, he makes things sound far too complicated for the casual fans i.e. bent arm shot

I don't mind Woodhall at all, in fact I think he's quite good.

Woodhall is one of the good ones IMO, he gets it right most of the time when a boxer needs to do something he is usually on the ball with the correct tactic. he has excellent experience in the amateur game as well as he has been there and done it, very knowledgeable

Most knowledgable analyst there is. Superb.

That was just the first one that came to mind, why can't he just call it a hook? It's the same when he starts going on about a boxer moving from phase 1 through 3, that doesn't mean anything to the typical guy turning over to watch boxing because its the Olympics.

Don't get me wrong I know Ritchie knows his stuff and is a good coach but when he is commentating I just think he would sound better just using more common phrases that a casual fan can understand.

The man in blue has a solid look about him.

he doesnt want to sound too complicated to the casual fan tho does he? woodhall is the best british commentator around imo

The judges are split over that round ..and you can't argue with that....well actually you can..

Richie sounds knowledgeable without trying to be overly dramatic or controversial

Bring back Jim Neilly. I miss his commentary..... a lot.

I don't mind him, for the most part.

He says what he thinks, and doesn't suck up to whatever the channel wants to him to say.

I prefer Richie's commentary more than just about anyone else, to be honest.

I like how he reads a fight and doesn't sugar coat his thoughts.

I'd be perfectly happy to see Richie on every Sky broadcast but I don't think he would be the 'man' for them.

I don't no why audley always gets overlooked when it comes to punditry. He is articulate and knowledgeable. Yet he always gets overlooked for the likes of Amir khan who can barely string a sentence together. Plus, he's one of our most successful amateurs.

I prefer Barry Jones to Richie Woodhall .....

Yeah I always thought Audley would be an excellent pundit. Maybe he just doesn't fancy it though, as I can't remember him ever even properly attempting it.
