Who wins this one? Damn....both are monsters I have no idea it's a pick em. Who beats up who?
I hate to comment on one of this trolls threads but Sonny Liston being a big gorilla with no technique ? What has happen to the current scene? Where are the mods?jbizzle20 wrote:Wilder has done nothing to suggest he is anything more than another Liston. A big gorilla with little technique. Joshua would dissect him, badly. This won't happen anyway because Haymon won't allow it.
Haha, you been taking trolling lessons off Horse?asdfjkl wrote:Easy win for Joshua, Wilder doesn't even deserve a fight like this yet, Wilder is just a little further as Jun Long Zhang and his belt should been taken away from him right now. Povetkin has better chances against AJ, but would probably lose badly as well.
For me, Tyson Fury is the only one who has a chance against AJ.
Even Wilder's last win is far better than anyone Jun Long Zhang has fought.asdfjkl wrote:Easy win for Joshua, Wilder doesn't even deserve a fight like this yet, Wilder is just a little further as Jun Long Zhang and his belt should been taken away from him right now. Come on mate your selling Joshua short there. I've seen Joshua combo up...even to the body and counter left hook not just jab. Yes the target was stationary but that's that makes this an intriguing match up. Wilder had superior speed, if he is able to move his feet as fast as his hands he'll give Joshua trouble.marvelous marv wrote:Wilder would leave Joshua lying flat on his face worse than David Price. What will Joshua do when he can't overwhelm his opponent with his physical gifts and he is at a disadvantage in reach? Wilder may be awkward but his style is not unsophisticated. That knockout against Szpillka came from walking his opponent into a well timed counterpunch. I have not yet seen Joshua even try to execute something more skilled than a pawing jab and a one, two straight right. Joshua will probably fight Gerald Washington next and run from Parker.
no. this is maybe not a superfight, butBAD INTENTIONS wrote:At any other weight division, based on their combined skill, this fight would be under card material.

agree on everything and i share yourBadhusker wrote:I don't think we have seen the best from either guy yet. They are both obviously big punchers, and would be a great fight to watch. Imo, either guy beats Fury. I still scratch my head how well some talk about Fury after his pathetic performance vs Wlad. He won, yes, but only because Wlad performed worse than he ever had. Fury did what he had to in order to win, but it was still pathetic as far as boxing goes and punch stats.
If Ortiz gets a shot at Fury (if Fury beats Wlad again), I would favor him to beat him. Wilder vs Joshua is about 1.5 or 2 years away I am guessing.
They both fought Jason Gavern, here you can see Wilder his performance:BitPlayer wrote:Even Wilder's last win is far better than anyone Jun Long Zhang has fought.asdfjkl wrote:Easy win for Joshua, Wilder doesn't even deserve a fight like this yet, Wilder is just a little further as Jun Long Zhang and his belt should been taken away from him right now. Just another Liston? Wilder isn't half the fighter Liston wasjbizzle20 wrote:Wilder has done nothing to suggest he is anything more than another Liston. A big gorilla with little technique. Joshua would dissect him, badly. This won't happen anyway because Haymon won't allow it.
Yes, I'm not terribly impressed with with Liston's intelligence and tech. He also had hands of stone, in that they could pack a wallop but were slow. Ali exploited that, badly. With that said, however, I still find Liston to be a better fighter than Wilder. The End wrote:I hate to comment on one of this trolls threads but Sonny Liston being a big gorilla with no technique ? I would sure hope so because he was so much better there's absolutely no comparison between the two. Liston's name always comes up when all time great Heavyweight jabs are mentioned.jbizzle20 wrote:Yes, I'm not terribly impressed with with Liston's intelligence and tech. Yes, the use of a jab is a big reason why Liston's better. Wilder can't seem to throw a jab to save his life.gilgamesh wrote:I would sure hope so because he was so much better there's absolutely no comparison between the two.
