I hope he can fight someone like Takam or Andy Ruiz or so soon.

Big Baby needs to leave the cheeseburgers alone. Walking in slowly with your hands down won't cut it against Joshua or Parker. "Miller doesn't have calfs, he has cows." Funny line said by an announcer.

Yes, the scoring was atrocious in at least 1 of those fights.

Miller is a problem for anyone, let alone if he gets in shape and sharpens up on his boxing ability. That's a dangerous thought.

Agreed, hopefully that's what he does :box:

"Bigger fish in the POND"

now that's an interesting choice of words

did he mean across the pond?

Blimey - his defence is almost non-existent! He just goes bundling in throwing punches with his hands down. He won't have such luxury against a better boxer.

One thing about Joshua when he's fighting under par fighters, he still looks technically very good and tidy. It'll be interesting when he (Miller) found fights someone a bit more top 30.

IMO, he needs to fight his first top 45 opponent really soon to prevent career stagnation. Age 28 and still years away from being a proper contender. Fight Andrzej Wawrzyk or someone already.

I thought the first 2 fights had sh*t scoring.

He fought a Top 45 opponent last night or at least a guy that's very close to that

He was #94 on boxrec, but w/e.

BR's rankings system sucks, it's better than most Alphabet Orgs rankings, but that's about it.

Kassi is underated by BoxRec because it doesn't account for the questionable scoring against Arreola (now #45) and Breazeale (now #27). He should've gotten a win in the first case and in my view a draw in the second case, or at worst a very close loss rather than the absurd 10-0/8-2 scores.

Next I'd like to see Miller fight guys such as Breazeale, Spzilka, or Fedosov

Yep. He beat Arreola IMO, and I agree he fought Breazeale to a draw or at worst a 96-94 loss. He packed it in pretty easy last night against Miller though so that'll probably drop his reputation pretty immensely.

I think it'd be funny if someone like Shannon Briggs fought him trying to get a slightly noteworthy win at this point in his career because I'm pretty confident Kassi would beat Briggs.

Miller has to improve his defence. His confidence will be a liability against better opponents if he dosnt.

I had no problem with the decisions. Close fights scores were about right .

Off TV fights were way more exciting

That's based on his record, but is generally considered better than that even according to boxrec.

I thought Santiago got the better of Nieves very clearly. Karim Mayfield deserved the nod as well, but that one was closer than the other one. I thought they were both very questionable, and I thought Santiago was straight up robbed.

Miller could be a problem for anyone - IF he gets in shape, IF he sharpens his boxing ability, and IF he tightens up his defense. I think there are quite a few guys out there like that.

I didn't watch the second fight closely enough to agree or not agree but the first fight I thought they got the winner wrong. But from what I saw, the "loser" there should probably have won as well.

So if BoxRec's rankings are so pants, which rankings would you trust?

Although you may well have a very valid point, he still lost those fights, and BoxRec would take that into account when determining his rank. I think someone saying 'he's rank 45 at least' is very subjective at best. I don't think any rankings would take into account performances without coming under some scrutiny. I personally think BoxRec is pretty reliable, not perfect, but pretty close to something which reflects what's actually going on in the division.

The alphabet rankings are based on favoritism and that's putting it very mildly and politely.

Boxrec's rankings sometimes also cause me to scratch my head, such as I think Kassi could have been ranked a little better.
It seems to me that BR is based on a computer system of who you beat, not how good you are. Kassi is better than his ranking because he didn't get a "W" against Breazeale or Arreola. Kassi's best wins aren't against very good opponents, so his ranking is quite low.

Not with his natural size, power, and aggression, there are not many at all!

It sounds like y'all both want to see him fight a top 45 opponent next, so I have no idea what we're arguing about.

Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, The 13th round (a site where my own rankings are factored in)...and that's about it. Most Rankings these days are motivated by the owner (The Ring) or able to be bought (Alphabet Orgs). I don't think BoxRec's rankings are accurate just because something about the computer program they use is unable to factor in other elements that might not be as obvious. It's focused purely on results it seems, and even then I don't always get the system.
