Will he be making his US debut? Possibly in New York?

My guess is that David Price (rated 12th by the IBF) will become Anthony Joshua’s next victim on the 26th November, with the bout probably taking place at the Echo Arena, Liverpool.

Kubrat Pulev may be the only alternative opponent, considering Stiverne and Parker "could" have bouts already lined up close to the November fight-date.

November 26th being over 3 months away, the opponent could be almost anyone.

Stiverne-Povetkin are currently negotiating a fight date for their WBC interim title bout, whereas Parker is already scheduled to fight Dimitrenko in October.

I'm not saying that Stiverne or Parker won't be Joshua's next opponent - I just think they're unlikely to be available for contractual reasons.

Price has been making a lot of noise in the media this week about his experiences with Joshua... and I don't believe in coincidences.

Johan Duhaupas He probably doesn't mind taking another loss, so he looks like a decent possibility.
Andy Ruiz Ruiz's handlers might want to protect him for longer. But at the same time, they probably wouldn't turn down a shot at a belt.
Carlos Takam If Parker can beat Takam and was willing to fight him, then I see no reason why Joshua shouldn't fight him. IF Takam is a guaranteed win, which it's not, then I would want Joshua to get this win if I was his handler. It's a good win.
Eric Molina Molina would be a lousy opponent, but his name is technically in the running.

I think it would be premature for Joshua's handlers to put him in with Haye or Pulev in his very next fight. They are both great fighters and something you would have to build up to.

If it's going to be Price then I won't watch. I was already disapointed by that American he recently fought, who was supposed to have lost his 3 matches before. I'd like to see him against someone like Povetkin, against someone competative. Duhaupas recently also became better, since he isn't an amature any more, since he's training boxing more often since the Wilder fight.

My guess his opponent will American. G.Washington?

His management building AJ name in US, to make real good money on AJ-Wilder next year...

Pulev is not a great fighter.

I'm also thinking a fight in the US is being shaped up. Hearn has spent a lot of time in the States in the last few months sorting arrangements with HBO. He's also mentioned quite frequently that they're trying to raise Joshua's platform in the States and will likely fight over there before too long.

Joseph Parker (fighting Dimitrenko), Vyacheslav Glazkov (still sidelined with injury), Charles Martin (still feeling sorry for himself from Joshua beating), Hughie Fury (PED investigation), Bermane Stiverne (set to fight Povetkin in WBC mandatory) and Dominic Breazeale (just fought him - no call for rematch) are all options which are highly unlikely.

I don't believe the likes of Kubrat Pulev, Carlos Takam, Dereck Chisoa or David Price are particularly well known to the US public, so quite unlikely to be introduced to the US market also.

That still leaves a lot of names available (David Haye, Johan Duhaupas, Andy Ruiz, Eric Molina and Jarrell Miller). I personally think that the most probable name in that list is Jarrell Miller. He has just had his most credible win by stopping Fred Kassi and is quite gobby, so in a good position to help deliver the Joshua fight to the US people. Johan Duhaupas is known because of his credible performance against Wilder, as is the same with Eric Molina. Andy Ruiz is also an unbeaten American so likely to fit the profile. The only name left I wouldn't think probable will be David Haye. Although I wouldn't rule out Haye for a fight, I would just rule him out for a fight in the US.

If its Price than this is a new low and disgrace on HW boxing and moreso on SKY Sports who continue to peddle shhhit as gold.

A world heavyweight champion fighting a guy in all likelihood outside the world top 30 who was flattened in a few rounds at European level.

Price needs to rebuild his career first.

It won't be Dereck Chisora. Chisora is fighting Drazan Janjanin on 10th September.
Nor a rematch with Charles Martin - Martin is currently recovering from a gunshot wound.

I just hope it won't become Odlanier Solis or David Haye or something like that. He might be a high ranked boxrec opponent, but in reality he's not any good.

Joseph Parker would be ideal, but anybody in the Top 10 is good for me...well accept for Stiverne who is only hanging onto his Top 10 spot by a thread and hasn't looked impressive at all lately.

I don't see how Price could be seen as deserving. He's never won about British domestic level, and he's been knocked out all three times he's fought above that.

Big Baby Miller wouldn't be an interesting opponent. He'll be easy to beat for several guys. I don't think it would take a talent like Joshua to beat him. Several lesser ranked Heavyweights could beat Miller.

3 months should be plenty of time to promote a fight. I don't see why people think all of the sudden you need half a year to promote a fight. Announce it and leave the guys 6 weeks to train, and you're good.

It very well could be like that. But I think Miller has more power than Breazeale. He's sparred a lot with Wlad, which of course doesn't mean that much, but unlike Breazeale his background is fighting. Joshua obviously is the heavy favorite but if the odds go crazy, Miller isn't the stupidest bet, but AJ is the best young guy out there. Who knows, maybe he'll warm up on Tyson's kid cousin.
