Theres a strong possibility that Errol Spence and the Kell Brook fight won't happen.

Errol Spence manager already said that Kell Brook may not return at welterweight & plans to move up to 154.There's a strong chance that Brook may vacate his title after the Triple G fight. So that means Errol Spence may have to fight someone else for his IBF Title shot.

Understatement: There's a strong chance Spence will still be fighting guys on the level of Bundu for the next 2 or 3 years.

I think that's a big part why they took the Golovkin fight. I think Hearn and Brook decided to cash out against Golovkin and probably take a beating instead of possibly taking a beating against the mandatory Spence for not much money.
It's a shame though as that would have been a good fight.
Hearn tried claiming Spence or his team didn't want the fight though. That may be true but even if Hearn was lying because Haymon never gives interviews Hearn knows he could get away with saying that.

Assuming Spence Jr. captures the vacant IBF welterweight strap, Haymon will have control over three of the four major world titles in the 147lb weight division... and now that he's working with Top Rank again, the winner of the Pacquiao-Vargas bout (both network free agents) could ultimately be involved in a “Super Six” type title unification tournament.
My theory may read like a piece of fiction, much akin to the fantasy stuff written by J.K. Rowling, but all the chips are falling into place to make this happen.

Brook would have to cut off a leg to even sniff 147 now, a move up in weight was overdue. Didn't expect the jump he made, but he has been a biscuit short of Jr middleweight for a long time. Fighting Spence and only training to make weight, for short money, isn't a great choice. Probably wasn't ever going to happen. Maybe someday at 154, after Brook does the Harlem Shuffle September 10th.

I mean... there's a strong possibility that Sugar Ray Robinson won't fight Sugar Ray Leonard, but you don't see me making a thread about it.

That wasn't a smartass comment. That was mean genuinely expressing that I don't think Spence will be put in a challenging fight for a while to come because that's how PBC operates.

Of course there's a huge chance it won't be happening . What is Spence gonna do? Dig up Brooks grave and fight his bones?

No chance this fight is happening. Brook will vacate or be stripped. I can't see him making 147 safely again. Him and Khan will probably fight one another after Brook loses to GGG.
Pity because Brook v Spence would've been a good scrap. Couldn't pick a winner as things stand but I do think Spence will get better and better whereas Brook will probably hit a decline after GGG.

Brook says that he is not done at 147:

I read that mate. Still can't see him going back down. It's a difficult thing to do considering he's 30yo and big at the weight anyway. He also looks like he's packed an extra bit of muscle on for this fight. If he bursts his arse to get back to 147 and somehow manages it I doubt he'll be the same fighter. Dangerous game to play against a young hungry puncher like Spence.

Brook will campaign at 154 after GGG ruins him. He's outgrowing 147 and I doubt highly he will want to lose all that weight again any time soon. Going down up and down 2 weight classes is not a good idea for any fighter. 154 suits him perfect.

That would be a war.
A box office fight that would deliver.

Theres a strong possibility that most fights won't happen. Which is one of the things pissing me off most right now.
