Boxing in the 80s. Would We See Another Era Like It?

Post by elmersalsa »

The 80s was a star-studded era. The Fab 4 of boxing of Duran, Hagler, Hearns and Leonard.

The great Mike Tyson opened a new era of heavyweights.

Bantamweight champions like Jeff Chandler was making six-figure paydays.

The Battle of the Little Giants between the greats Salvador Sanchez and Wilfredo Gomez.

Aaron Pryor outlasts the great Alexis Arguello.

All these events in one unforgettable decade in boxing.

What do you like most about the 80s boxing era? It was an exciting time of being a boxing fan.

There's a lot of great stuff from the 80's era I still haven't ever gone back and caught up, but I always very much enjoy watching Bobby Chacon's fights.
