Just saw that Walsh is down to fight for the European Featherweight title in Denmark in mid October. How do people think he will get on?

Ryan will win. I would expect late stoppage or wide points.. Very good fighter who I expect to go on to fight for a World Title

Amazing to think Walsh is 30 now and has been a pro for 8.5 years O_o

Thats nearly as long as Liam has been Commonwealth champ

If Liam Walsh had signed with Matchroom he would of been World Champion now and have far deeper pockets, but I admire his loyalty.

Ryan will beat Ceylan with ease, I imagine he fancies a rematch with Selby as he would be the easiest fight of the four world champions at 126.

He had an Olympic gold medalist in an undercard recently. Against Sykes...

Well, you answered your own question. I doubt there are many fighters on the matchroom roster that have been pro for seven years and received no world title opportunity, had they been good enough sir.

Had he been pro for 7 years at the time!

Campbell was in his 14th pro fight, Walsh his 17th. Walsh got a much better version of Sykes at his proper weight.

He had a world title opportunity then got injured, which is more or less the story of his career. No point calling it 7 years when he's been out injured for 3 of them.

Either way it would of been Pedraza fight before Stephen Smith.

He shouldn't still be boxing the likes of Troy James by now. He is such a talent even on his early days he was blowing away Journeymen that everyone goes the distance with.

Perhaps if he stayed fit for longer than 6 months he might do. He had a world title fight lined up against Burns and got injured, world title
eliminator against Petrov, got injured. There's been talk of numerous other fights at world level in the past but the same problem comes up every time.
