Anyone else really miss Froch? There's just not enough (if any) fighters like him! I was a big fan of Calzaghe but oddly enough I think I miss Froch more!

Its because he was always involved in big fights that were competitve on paper,maybe apart from Mack

Not really, great fighter but super arrogant.

Not really no. I have to like a boxer as a person to enjoy their skill.

I never connected with Froch as a person whom i liked or would enjoy listening to. I like boxers or other athletes with a personality or something that draws you to them.

Froch just did not interest me or grab my imagination and didnt excite me as other boxers have done. Im not denying he was a good boxer but he would bore me to death if i had to sit and watch him for a period of time.

He was always in entertaining and exciting fights and that's the name of the game for me. If you can't enjoy watching fighters like him you might as well not bother at all.

Yeah. The more good boxers in good fights against the best opposition the better. I can put up with someone being a bit arrogant when they're willing to fight the best for about 5 years straight.

I really miss him.

Fought an almost uninterrupted murder's row: almost always 50/50, only slight favourite or expected to lose.

Was an actual fighter, had the bottle and the will to win and the chin to beat fighters more talented.

Going to see Froch live was fantastic: genuine excitement and tension, intrigue. Who will win? What will happen?

Froch may have been arrogant but was often humbled: by the Ward loss, by the fans turning on him over Groves. Now he has retired I think he is funny when interiewed. He has earned his swagger. What are the question marks over his career? He couldn't beat Ward? No shame in that. He ducked GGG? He was at the end and while I really really wanted to see it, i cannot begrudge him deciding to go out on his last win, one of the biggest nights in British boxing history.

He over takes Calzaghe in my opinion. Joe's biggest achievement was being undefeated and being the best in two weight divisions. His resume pales in camprison to the Frog though

I do miss the big fights he was involved in but always wanted him to lose and really don't like him as a person,good fighter though.

Totally agree mate, I am a massive Calzaghe fanboy but I miss froch more

I don't miss him too much. There's enough going on to keep me interested in the boxing scene as it is. I also think he got out at the right time, he was super exciting and then he quit before he stopped being exciting. A good call for Carl and the fans - always leave them wanting more...

Think it's got something to do with the way Calzaghe ended his career CP? Calzaghe kinda wound down in taking on Jones whereas Froch KO'd George Groves in front of 80,000 people at Wembley stadium (couldn't resist)

Great fighter, bit of an arrogant twat at times. But he could back it up I suppose. He was an entertaining fighter but calzaghe was better

The Super Six really made both Froch and Ward; all those fights would have taken many years to make otherwise, if at all.

Obviously Pascal, Bute and Groves are excellent wins too.

"Murderer's Row" is too historic and illustrious a term to be tossed at a lineup centred round Jermain Taylor, Mikkell Kessler and Andre Ward. He fought solid opponents. Good. We shouldn't need to praise boxers for doing what they should be doing. Rather castigate those that don't. The Eubank dynasty, for instance.

Froch fought about everyone there was for him to fight at 168, what more would you have him do? Even on the way up, he was taking on very tough opposition, rather than feasting on patsies until he could get a shot, he did things the hard way.

I used to be a big Carl Froch fan back when he was with Hennesey,he wasn't getting a tv interest in him and he should've had.That's why he gets a pass from me for his arrogance now,he's earned it the hard way never recieved the recognition he should've had at the time so yeh let him enjoy it now.Great warrior,always involved in exciting fights,retired at the right time.

Froch was outstanding. Balls like indoor mitre footballs, and a fighter clearly greater than the sum of his parts. I always found him funny as fornicate, I guess some people don't do dry humour

It doesn't matter what a fighter does, they are still going to get slagged off.

Me too. At the start of his career I doubted him. All the way to his winning effort vs Jermain Taylor. He seemed to make fights hard for himself and never listen to the great advice McCraken gave him. He proved me wrong though. He ended up being my favourite Brit fighter of his time.

I always read articles about the Super 6 being a failure but i disagree,i thought it would collapse before the end and sure there were some pull outs but all in all i thought it was brilliant,Taylor "retired" but i doubt he would have won anyhow,Kessler required eye surgery which nearly finished his career,bit of a freak accident really and eff knows what happened to Dirrell

If nothing else at least the Super 6 revealed who the top SMW in the world was.which is more than can be said to all other divisions bar HW.who knows how the 168 landscape would be percieved if it wasnt for that tournement.Ward would maybe still be seen as top dog but would he have fought Froch if he already won a title elsewhere??

Bit of a stretch criticising a fighter for fighting a fighter he fought when he might not have fought him when he did under other circumstances. I think that makes sense.

I never really liked Carl's personality, though I respected him as a fighter and still do. Thought he was going to lose his title against Taylor and I still don't know why Taylor didn't take that knee, but it was a fantastic win. I wish he'd have faced Degale before retiring but he had nothing else to prove and I'm sure he's financially secure, it's just the selfish nature of boxing, there's always another fight.
