Everyone makes mistakes but let's face it, if this was one of us average fellows and we pulled the same stunt and our work got wind of it most of us would be bagged so big Glenn can't have any complaints if he gets the bullet!

I've read on here a few times that he's a bit of a knob and a bully. The old 'do you know who I am' line is the calling card of the wanker where I'm from!

What was the prick doing following him home though? Phone the police and don't get involved! It's his own stupid fault he got a sore face! Idiot!

Yeah why follow him? If you're that way inclined get the Reg and call the cops. Though obviously McCrory's reaction is ridiculous.

Some folk are totally different people behind the wheel. A lot of people turn in to total maniacs! It always baffled me. You don't know who you're shouting at! It could be anyone! The biggest gangster or nutter going could be in the other car.

If this story is true, McCrory is toast.

It's bad enough when us mere mortals hit other folk, but when a 6' 4" former professional boxer hits you, it's even more serious.

Aye, although you still shouldn't do it even if it's some cowardly worm who has messed up behind the wheel. It's not cool to lose your rag and intimidate people.

Sounds like McCrory was probably quite hammered - he's lucky he didn't end up doing the geezer serious harm, otherwise he'd have faced a lengthy jail term as an ex world champion fighter.

He's been convicted so it is essentially true isn't it? Sky will have to be seen to act in accordance with the courts ruiling. He deserves his 30 month road ban but it sounds as if he's gotten off pretty leniently with the assault considering his status as a former boxing champion.

True mate. A bus driver done it to my wife at the time a few years ago. Left passengers on his bus and got out and was shouting in her face. A big hairy arse tattooed man shouting at a small skinny 5'4 woman! One of they times you wish you'd have been in the car at the time!

It is a strange thing to do. If you chanced that kind of thing in certain countries you could end up getting a bullet in your face.

The follower was very brave to do that. Surprised he didn't get jail for drink driving and assault looks like the end for him as boxing pundit

I've had people scream at me, hand gesture, pull over when I'm with my kids, I've jumped out and they've drove off! Another time I pulled out a roundabout and there was two young boy racer types speeding who nearly went into the back of me, they started going mad, beeping their horn, waving fists, etc, so I slowed down to about 5mph, for about 2 miles in a 60zone, they were doing throat slitting gestures and all that, I was nodding my head, smiling. Anyway, we got to where there was a layby, huge tailbacks by this point, I was fully ready for the fight, nervous, the lot, so I pointed at the laby and indicated and they drove of tapping their heads like I was mad!

Glenn was in the wrong no doubt but I think the goon who followed him did so with the intention of meting out his own justice and realised he'd bitten off more than he could chew when Glenn came out swinging and then did what any normal person would've done in the first place by calling the cops.

Both got the justice they deserved in my book.

:TU: true. That fanny who followed him deserved a sore face. It'll be interesting to see if Glenn is part of the Box Office team on Saturday...

I hope he is because to me he's the only pundit sky have who doesn't automatically act as a cheerleader for the house fighter.

Hopefully Sky give him the benefit of the doubt. Drink driving is no laughing matter but it's a fairly commonplace occurrence and doesn't usually spell the end of a career in the media. I'm not a lawyer but the assault conviction seems questionable - if when parked outside your own house a bloke knocks on your window and then grabs your steering wheel I think a lot of people would instinctively lash out for self defence reasons.

It's his second strike of the year.

Hope he stays on as I like him but can see Sky getting rid of him.

Sky tend to sack high profile pundits for less- I'd Assume this is no different

I can imagine it was something like this but with punches thrown

On the flip side of that coin if glen had then mowed down a pathway full of school kids because the guy had let him drive off completely pissed, would that be a better scenario?

Glens a bell end imo, shame because I liked the guy before reading this.

I've met McCrory and found him , when sober, to be a quite mild mannered individual, decent guy basically.
This incident was a disgrace though. Obviously blitzed, and aggressive with it. 30 months disqualification is not usual which demonstrates just how bad the court considered his driving. McCrory hitting some guy for confronting him is simply immaturity, and bullying.
He cannot remain as a TV pundit for SKY, they would be laughing stocks in the industry. How could they possibly respond to advertisers if they continued to engage an ex boxer who punched the daylights out of a concerned motorist, was so drunk he was banned for 30 months and has a suspended jail sentence hanging over him!!!!

I personally don't like McCrory as I think he's a sell out that sings from the company hymn sheet too often. Drink driving is inexcusable.
However the guy obviously thought he was a hero- who is he to start touching the inside of his car? He ain't exactly innocent.

Also it mentions his old man being ill in hospital. That may sound like a lame excuse for his behaviour but I'd a similar road rage type incident the week after my mum died So I can also understand that.

Using an expression I found amusing on the current scene, a drunk driver is a no better than a rump swab. They should be strung up.

Good old Glenn. Oh I laughed when he started getting macho and called Lewis in. Lewis promptly smacked him. Nice move.
