After years of working with Sam Colonna was time for a change. Light heavyweight contender Andrzej Fonfara (28-4, 16 KOs) parted ways with the coach and hired a new, much more familiar trainer.

I think that it's a good move by Fonfara, a fight too late perhaps, but a good move. I personally think that Hunter is overrated as I've seen him manning the losing corner way too much the last couple of years. I don't like the way he operates outside the ropes with his fighters. A trainer needs to be nose to nose with their fighter in the corner in my opinion. To me, Hunter's yapping on the apron to his fighters sounds like white noise and I notice fighters tuning out. I don't know if it's something physical that keeps Hunter from climbing through ropes but I know that i wouldn't like it if i were a fighter.

But Fonfara is a very exciting fighter. He may grab a world title eventually with the right matchup but he is what he is, a great undercard addition for any event. As long as he doesn't get caught early though...that last fight was worrisome.
