What is wrong with this guy?

I've never seen a boxer so obsessed with another boxer 1. He hasn't fought, 2. he has no desire to fight, 3. he hasn't ducked or wasn't ducked by the fighter, 4. the fighter has no desire to fight him.
Ironically you could insert either Pacquiao or Mayweather into the slot of Malignaggi's obsession and it still fits perfectly for opposite reasons.

Paulie Malignaggi is an award winning sports pundit for Showtime, Fox and Sky Sports.
Manny Pacquiao is the most famous and popular active boxer currently competing in the sport today (based on PPV buy-rates).
The Filipino legend’s bout against Vargas was announced a month ago and the LA fight presser takes place tomorrow.
Therefore, it’s unsurprising that he is often filmed answering questions about the most famous men in the sport.

Paulie’s biased negative opinion about Pacquiao relates to his strong suspicion about the Filipino legend using PED’s at certain stages of his career, coupled with his "sore-loser" antics resulting from the Money May defeat. Malignaggi's positive opinion about Mayweather Jr. relates to his appreciation of his skills, which is, stylistically-speaking, similar to his own.
Whilst I don’t agree with everything that Paulie Malignaggi says, he’s definitely one of the very best boxing pundits in the business.
What does any of that have to do with another boxer's retirement.

Rightly or wrongly, I assumed that you were referring to Paulie Malignaggi, when you made your obsession remark (as per the article you provided a link to).

If I interpreted your post incorrectly, them apologies... my bad.

Mallignaggi's view of Pacquiao taking PEDs have absolutely nothing to do with why Pacquiao would retire nor his admiration of Mayweather's skills. Paulie sounds like an extreme political nut where one side is always right and the other is always wrong and always has an agenda regardless what the issue is.

My previous post was meant to highlight possible reasons for Malignaggi’s obvious negative bias he holds for Pacquiao, coupled with his positive outlook on Mayweather Jr. (as per the question posed by the title of this thread).
In terms of the article you quote, Paulie Malignaggi is merely stating his opinion based on the brevity of Pacquiao’s four-month retirement, which may have been:
• A publicity stunt to garner attention from the media (in the same vain that Mayweather Jr. received)
• A ploy to prove his commitment to his political career, which was aimed at gaining support from the Filipino voters (as he got voted into the senate shortly afterwards)
• A manoeuvre to encourage Floyd Mayweather Jr. to make a last-ditch effort to set-up a financially lucrative rematch
Paulie Malignaggi is biased, for sure, but his opinion about Pacquiao’s four month retirement, coupled with Manny winning a seat on senate during that period, does seem valid.
Even if you don’t agree with Malignaggi’s point-of-view, surely you must think that Pacquiao’s very brief retirement antics seem a little odd?

Please, Pacquiaou, please fight this imbecile snd punch him in to a sheltered workshop, I used to like the guy but it s now apparent that, while he can box (I reckon he beat Broner), he is a total fuckwit.
