Affiliated boxing courses

Anyone know if you can do affiliated boxing courses which will then allow you to teach? Mainly a course on how to hold pads properly and effectively.

I know the route to go down is probably trying to volunteer at local amateur clubs and learn that way but this is purely for my own personal use with my kids.

Any help much appreciated.

There are numerous pad holders DVDs put out by Title, Ringside etc that will give you the basics of holding pads, however if you can't correct the technique of the puncher when using them, you are only going to create bad habits that will take much more time to correct later on. Most pad holder "technique" uploaded on youtube by so called trainers are a complete waste of time. Stick with the trainers with a proven background. Good luck with it.

Thanks mate.

Thats my problem, I can hold the pads but I want to be able to spot mistakes and correct things confidently. This is why I was wondering if there was any courses you could actually do.

tbh I don't think you can beat experience. either take someone on the pads who's got a bit about them and get them to tell you how they prefer it, if you're making them overreach etc, or if you can get to a gym and observe an experienced coach.
