The Joshua v Parker fight is not happening until next year and Stiverne is fighting Povetkin.

Pulev is a possible, but why fight a guy Wlad flattened in 5? Pulev isn't an easy sell. Hughie is.

If them fights were to be made, I'd expect Pulev and Parker, especially, to be betting favourites.
I'd prefer Parker or Pulev as an opponent but wouldn't be disgusted if it was Stiverne I guess.

Yup I got admiration for the Fury camp (I think Peter doesn't get enough credit he is probably the most sane person in that camp) but sticking Hughie in with AJ would be like slaughtering a lamb !

Just as you said that ironically enough I had a quick peek at Stivernes boxrec the lad has been inactive for more than a year :O

Peter is definitely the sanest and sharpest in the Fury camp. Hughie seems a good lad too. He's just not ready and shouldn't be rushed imo.

Hughie would be his best opponent to date.

That said he isn't ready for someone like Joshua. Ruiz Jr is a better fight for him for now.

Peter wanted him to be the youngest world champion ever, which he can't be, but that is an indication. Also, Hughie really struggled with motivation in his last fight and a few others. Maybe it's time for him to roll the dice. We shall see.

In fairness, neither Hughie or Joshua are the finished article.
