Following Brook's performance, I've picked six initial losses including Klitschko v Lewis and Malignaggi v Cotto.
What are the others?

McCullogh fought well against Naz didn't he. There was some mental shit going on in the corner during that fight, Naz just not listening to Brendan, trying to mug him off a bit.

I remember a McCullough interview afterwards then another years later and he was convinced he won! He definitely never won the fight but it was a solid showing from him. I think a lot of people thought he was just being brought in as fodder but he had one of the best chins in the business. I watched him a few years later against Scott Harrison and he got a bit of a going over but barely budged! I think it was the same against Erik Morales as well if I remember correctly?

As you write "Following Brook's performance..." does that imply that you feel Brook's stock has gone up after the GGG-fight?

Sorry. I should read better. You start your article "As Kell Brook’s star shines brighter than ever before following his loss to Gennady Golovkin,"... I am not sure I agree.

Fernando Vargas after the Trinidad fight. A couple of Arturo Gatti fights come to mind as well.

Agree with that. Kinda felt short changed by his performance if truth be told

Brook did have his moments, yes, but if one takes a step back and look at some of the "cold facts".... then.... He had to retire in the fifth, having won only one round at the time (IMO), having been outlanded in every round, seriously hurt a handful of times, in risk of loosing vision on one eye etc. etc..
In that light it is quite remarkable that this apparently has made him look "brighter than ever". I should think that he looked somewhat brighter just after his win against Porter.

Fair dos guys, respect the opinion. I genuinely feel that fight is the best thing that's happened to his reputation. And btw im no Brook or Matchroom fan boy. Until now I think his fight record has been piss other than Porter, in the context of world level. But to take the punishment he did against GGG and still give him something to think about was excellent. I had GGG 3-1 up at the time of stoppage but I still have to give Brook credit for taking that challenge and performing the way he did against a monster puncher of a middleweight

Vargas took some heavy shots eh. Since the Hopkins glove fiasco I've been suspicious of Tito, I can't help it.

The one that stands out to me in recent history is Provodnikov's loss to Timothy Bradley. Provo' was put on the map after that epic fight and in fact, it lead to another chance at a title in his next fight that he took full advantage of.

Gatti vs. Ward. All three bouts basically had two winners

Mental to think you could probably put up an argument that JMM won all four fights!

I disagree with Vargas. His loss to Trinidad was the beginning of the end. He went from 22 to 36 in one fight and never was the same. I remember in his comeback fights after that (I think he changed trainers) he looked very unconfident.

In hindsight, I now look at all the people Brook could've beaten at 147 and 154 without having to prove his limit (taking years off his career) by facing Golovkin. Now, we know he could be competitive against the Spences and Canelos but it would've been better for us to find all that out by fighting them without risking his health against GGG.

As much as I dislike him and think he only did it for money as opposed to being brave (I'd take a brutal beating for 10% of what he made that night).. Amir Khan seems to have gained a fair bit of respect after the ginger fella sparked him out.
