I get Price is desperately trying to get that AJ bout but is he going over the top ?

I kind of understand what he's trying to say AJ hasn't really fought any world beaters, but same thing applies for Price every time he has stepped up he's been found out !

What do you guys think ?

He's right.

Well to be fair, Price didn't say 'AJ is only British level', he said 'he's only proven at British level', which is perfectly fair thing to say.

It's well documented that he's trying to establish a big cash fight against AJ, but Price is not at AJ's level at the moment. He said that AJ needs to now step up his opposition, which I completely agree, and I expect he will, but that pretty much rules Price out of a fight with AJ lol

YES LOL, when Price said AJ needs to step up that puts Pricey way out of the equation

Price needs to start boxing people in the top 10 and get himself recognised again

I'd say AJ is above British level but only because the division is so poor. He gets a lot of stick on here but most would have him in their top ten heavies list so that for me puts him above British level. Price is somewhere between British and European. He went through all of the British guys on his way up with ease then got found out when he went up a level.

Yes its unreal how much stick AJ gets on here I mean come on other than Fury who else is representing Britain at heavyweight level because Chisora, Price, Haye, Dillian don't cut it for me at the momemt

Are you talking about the domestic top 10 or the world top 10?

Why should Price fight someone in the world's top 10 when Joshua hasn't?

AJ has a title and Price wants a shot. AJ is above Price in the pecking order as things stand. Price can't just beat up no marks and expect a shot. He's stepped up three times and been KOd three times.

That being said if he manages to talk himself in to a fight then fair play to him. It seems to be the way things are done nowadays. It's frustrating and I don't agree with it but hey ho! Hearn will have a job trying to sell that pish as PPV!

Joshua is not a credible world champion at all and Price would arguably be his best opponent so far.

Course he's not a credible world champion. The turnip he won it from was rank rotten and won a vacant title by default!

I don't think Price would be his best opponent on paper but he could turn out to be depending on how the fight plays out. It's fair to say one stiff shot from AJ at anytime would land big Dave on his arse but you could argue the other way as well. Suppose that's heavyweight boxing for you. The price fight is a hard sell and a bit of a hiding to nothing for AJ. Price is a dangerous puncher but if AJ wins then he won't get any credit!

I actually liked the idea of AJ v Pulev and Price v Parker on the same card. Good opportunity for Price to stake his claim. Doubt he'd win against Parker but if he did then there couldn't be many arguements about him getting a shot at AJs trinket.

to be honest if Price did face AJ it would be his hardest fight, but I just want Price to beat some meaningful people domestically at top 10 level I understand he wiped out domestically few years ago but the scenes changed now

Dillian Whyte/Dave Allen/Chisora/Hughie Fury/Sam Sexton - if he beats any one of these convincingly I reckon that AJ bout should happen ASAP

His opponents aren't really good enough to say where he is.

His best opponents have been British level or equivalint.

I think Price is getting Joshua mixed up with himself. I say let's have Price vs Briggs or Price vs Chisora or something to see who gets Joshua. In the meantime Joshua has bigger fish to fry unless he wants to be another Deontay Wilder "Champion" constantly defending the title against guys that aren't even Top 15.

Joshuas first ever someone will be Pulev but even Pulev Id describe as a someon without the e. Hes not completely a someone yet but its a good start for Joshua whos been knocking out guys ANY of the top 5 would knockout.

Hearn would have to be completely insane to put AJ in with Price for 2 reasons.

1. If AJ wins its fight he is expected to win.
2. Price has probably has one of the most concussive punches in world boxing he's capable of pulling a Hassim Rahman on pretty much any boxer going if he lands.

I'd like to see Tyrone Spong vs Price, somehow I expect Price to be way to cowardish to accept such a challenge, he seems to be just another Daffy Haye ish guy.
