The one thing I don't understand is, their live shows have been available on Box Office for £30 for quite a while now.

Is this just an official launch/announcement or has something changed?

From what he's saying it sounds like B0xnati0n Box Office will be available on different platforms other than SKY i.e. Virgin Media. He also mentions they've agreed deal with SKY for this with Klitschko Vs. Fury II being the first fight to feature on B0xnati0n Box Office. Sounds like there will be some kind of revenue split with SKY. Wonder if we'll see SKY promotion the fight, and the PPV, on SKY Sports News and adverts on their other channels? It would make sense for SKY to do this as the more sales the PPV gets, the more money SKY will receive.

Geroge also confirms that if your a Boxnati0n subscriber you will not pay an extra penny for any of their PPV events. Subscribers can tune in as per normal. I can't see them continuing to charge £30.00 as George states this is aimed at the casual fans who want to watch big fights but don't want to subscribe to a boxing channel.

I wonder what Eddie Hearn and Barney Francis will make of this? From previous interviews the deal with SKY and B0xnati0n has been done with a different division of SKY and not with Francis who is the managing director of SKY Sports who's fairly close with Eddie and Barry Hearn.

There's more info about this on the B0xnati0n website. Looks like the new PPV channel won't be on other platforms from the start.

"Tyson Fury’s Heavyweight World Title rematch with the legendary Wladimir Klitschko will be made available via B0xNati0n Box Office to Sky customers for the first time.

The groundbreaking development will see this year’s biggest fight, taking place on Saturday October 29th in Manchester, being accessible to Sky’s 12 million customers who will be able to order the B0xNati0n event via their remote control for a one-off pay-per-view fee.

Fury v Klitschko 2, as well as a host of world class exclusively live fights, will still be available to current B0xNati0n monthly subscribers as part of their normal package on all platforms, including Sky.

Fury’s eagerly anticipated rematch with the formidable Klitschko will see the Manchester ace fight at home as he looks to prove that his stunning victory over the Ukrainian, who had dominated the division for over 10 years prior to his loss, was no fluke.

The match-up will see the two best heavyweights in the world collide, with the launch of B0xNati0n Box Office offering fight fans the chance to not miss a moment of the action from the Manchester Arena next month.

B0xNati0n’s current subscribers, and any new customers that wish to subscribe instead of buying through box office, will get the fight as part of their monthly subscription."

Even thought you could purchase these events for £30.00 you actually had to register your details with B0xnati0n through their website first, including your debit card details, before you could watch the event. Once your details were registered you could then use your remote to watch the events.

This new way cuts out all of that hassle. Simply order it through your remote and be billed by SKY.

Ohh I can't wait to see Hearn's reaction to this

I remember a while ago on an ILF interview, George explained how it was possible to make this happen due to the illegality of Sky 'distribution' I think was the term he used, favouring Sky 'Sports' as a box office platform, and not allowing BNation the same access to the same platform. Something along those lines anyway.

As an existing allegedly subscriber this is surely good news, as it means more money going in to the company and therefore better domestic shows.

A few years back I e-mailed B0xnati0n about this. They advised they'd had talks with Virgin to get the HD channel on their platform but where told Virgin wouldn't carry it unless the channel went full time. At the moment there's only about 5 hours a week when B0xnati0n broadcasts in HD. I can't see the channel on Virgin Media for a while yet.

I like George and Francis- they always get slated in thr youtube comments of interviews/pressers but I've always thought they come across better than Eddie. More down to earth, less ego.

I agree mate, the stick Francis gets is uncalled for, seems a nice genuine fella, same with George too, who is rather elusive. My guess is he's always busy tying up deals to air the big international cards!

Sky Sports is not involved, this is only Sky Distribution deal. Last year Warren complained to the regulator and they decided to break Matchroom exclusivity with Sky Distribution and force them to feature BN shows. Eddie was a sour grapes saying that they scarcely will be able to use it anyway. This is their first trial and let see how it goes.

I am a bit surprised that Sky Distribution has to agreed to share it with BN subscribers though.

I think this move is excellent for the health of boxing in the UK.

It is an excellent move for the money makers but I can't see many that interested in watching heavyweight snoozefest 2 and paying for the pleasure again.

Wonder how much they're going to charge.

I mean longer term.

This fight is a risky one to start this venture,but hopefully the fight will happen this time.It's great that subscribers still get it,but a big amount of the potential market for Ppv will already have it through the subscription,so they really have to push this to casuals which might be hard after the first fight,I think it will be mentioned on SSN but it won't get the full build up shows etc and will be lucky to get near 200k buys unless fury does something crazy fight week but they might well be happy with 100-200 k buys I don't know the margins they need to make it worthwhile.

Yeah,I think George is in charge of the international content so is always tying up the deals.

Crazy world we live in where the totally unproven AJ knocking over the latest bum is more attractive to casuals than a fight for the lineal title between probably the 2 best heavys around

At least with PPV you can wait till the last minute to order and haven't wasted time or money if gets called off

Good business model for them. They need to start getting some cross over for their fighters so more casuals know them

Chad - Can you confirm for existing BN subscribers - will Fury vs Klitchsko 2 be on Channel 437 (I don't have HD) or do I have to watch it on 490.

I cancelled sky but keep paying for allegedly. Does that mean I still get the PPV on allegedly included in my monthly subscription?

I`m sure I heared Warren`s boy say "If you`re a monthly allegedly subscriber AND a sky customer" I`m not a sky customer but I am a allegedly subscriber.

I`m confused.
