Could be Hasegawa's last chance at becoming a world champion in three weight classes.

It probably will be, because he's gonna lose by KO or TKO.

Key word there "Japanese" fan site. Half of those voters probably don't even know who Ruiz is. I'd be very confident in a Ruiz victory.

Yes but the Japanese fans are usually pretty discerning.

What makes you so confident? Is Ruiz that good, or has Hasegawa slipped that far?

Both. Ruiz is pretty damn good, and Hasegawa isn't even rated Top 10 anymore.

Boxmob readers are genuinely knowledgeable in their polls, they'll remember Ruiz from his bout with Koki Kameda....saying that I tend to agree with you, and think Ruiz is gonna win.

...they do favour Shinskay to win 70%, Moreno 27% and 2% on the draw...and yes I'm aware that's 99%...

What's your opinion on Yamanaka vs. Moreno, BP?

I've got a feeling Moreno takes a close one there, at least the odds are way too wide to not put money on Moreno (around 11/2)...

Yeah ridiculous odds considering the first time they fought it was a close Split Decision

Looking forward to both. I imagine Moreno will have learned from the previous encounter.

Anyone see Hasegawa-Ruiz?

I havent been able to find a fight report yet, but that looks like an excellent outcome for HH....I was fully expecting him to get KTFO again.

And Yamanaka becomes the first to stop Moreno, putting him down 4 times in the process.

Great night for the Japanese boxers.

I guess Ruiz quit on his stool after 9?

Hasegawa was a rightful underdog but Ruiz isn't a world beater by any means and probably shouldn't have been that big of a favorite.
