Apologies if there's already a thread about this but this fight is now a 'must'. Everybody wants to see Canelo v GGG so seeing the two blokes that put up plucky, but losing, battles makes for a great domestic fight.

How do you see it going?

I like Brook there

Smith is a basic, plodding fighter who just gets by on strength against low-level opponents. I think Brook has many more tools and would outbox him.

Would Smith even beat Willie Monroe or Michel Soro?

I think Brook would stop him late like Canelo did. Either that or he'd win a very clear Unanimous Decision.

Different level of fighters. Routine win for brook.

Wide points for Brook and I never saw tonight's fight

After having thought about it for a few seconds I remembered that they are with different promoters & there's very little chance of them fighting

Brook on a wide decision, Gallagher's system is too basic when used against genuine world class opponents. I'm praying Crolla doesn't get exposed next week!

Brook will need to be fully healed from his eye injury.

If he is, it's an easy fight.

Also, Smith was beaten up at his own game vs Canelo. He's left something in the ring tonight that he'll never get back. He won't be the same fighter. Although he can still achieve some good things in the sport.

I'd much rather see Brook v GingerHead Man than Smith.

Do people really want to see this? I've no interest in Smith at all. It would be typical fornicating Hearn to make it. Why not waste more of Kell Brook's career on a pointless fight like this?

I'd love to see Brook fighting a Charlo or Lara or somebody like that.

Smith? Who cares? Plucky? He got beaten in every round, did not trouble Canelo and Gallagher had no clear game plan except take a beating.

Before the fight Smith had not fought anyone of note, literally no one that I would even think was fringe world level, so the question marks remained that we would not know how he would perform at world level. Sure Canelo is elite world level and a massive jump up but he was completely out of his depth. So now he is perceived worse than I thought before the fight.

Good quality final eliminator for the British title.

Brook would be too good for Liam Smith. I'm not sure whether he'd have the power to stop him but he'd win easily on points.
