Alverez don't want Golokin

Alverez is trying to fool the public, insulting their inteligence, in announcing that he has offered 4 million to Golokin for a fight. Does Alverez really believe that Golokin will take 4 million for a fight that could generate over 200 million, is he for real ? Golokin's team and Goldenboy don't want the fight, even though it is the biggest money fight out there, because Golokin will knock him out and he will never be the same again, Mayweather dented his confidence and Alverez only lost on points. Goldenboy could lose their cash cow. Offering only 4 million confirms their reluctance to fight, but they can always say they offered the fight and Golokin's team refused. The only way Alverez will fight Golokin, is if Golokin ages and starts to slip, then Alverez, the much younger fighter will wait until father time catches up with him.

He said they offered golovkin 8 figures plus Ppv upside so that's atleast ten million considering canelo can eat what GGG did against brook for an exhibition i think GGG should be happy with a 70/30 split

I agree that they don't want anything to do with GGG at the moment. To suggest otherwise is just pure lies and an insult to the fans intelligence. After GGGs performance against Brook where he was made to look almost human in patches I think Canelo and Goldenboy will be content to wait it out for another couple of fights to see if GGG slows anymore. It SHOULD happen now and GGG would jump at it next but I'll be very surprised if it does. Canelo and Goldenboy have already shown themselves up with all the talk the last time then vacating! They're making themselves look silly with this latest desperate bollux they've came away with!

You don't know what there being advised , or how important the money is to them over legacy .. But I think if it was me , a few million in the bank , nice familly and a lifestyle i could keep for the rest of my life ,, then the legacy would be important and i would publicly and categoricly tell the world , On such a date , in 18 months time i RETIRE , no amount of money will entice me back , so if Chicken heart wants the fight , set ANY date within the next 18 months , I want a 50-50 split .weight to be any fighter allowed to weigh ,anywhere inside middleweight,,, Other wise he can miss out , Because i REFUSE to allow him to wait me out , and by the way all mexicans are cowardly and i dare him to , make me eat my words ,, squark squark squark ,

Max Kellerman gave Canelo more problems than Liam Smith did, drawing Canelo's little outburst of horseshit while a seemingly high Oscar stood behind Canelo never once letting his crazed grin slip from his face as Max badmouthed him.
Comedy gold.

Oscar's crazed, rictus-like fixed grin is funny but slightly disturbing to contemplate.

The highlight of any Golden Boy fight week is how far Oscar is off the wagon.
First fight week in a while were BHOP has had to fill in for him though.
Oscar looks like he's really struggling to keep it together.

If Golden Boy really offered that why didn't they publicize the hell out of the deal? Especially with all the backlash they've faced about Canelo avoiding the fight.
Was the offer really made? Was there some unreasonable provision?

If he wanted it why did he move down to light middle then after admit he's a middleweight?
He wants control over his career, breaking indoor arena records, adding titles etc, before he possibly loses career control.
Because if he loses to Golovkin, or wins an exciting fight, he could be fighting Golovkin in a rivalry and there's no choice for him. Could be immediate rematches, back to back hard fights. Or worse, one sides KO defeat.
He's buying time by going down in weight, messing around. Don't care about the offers made, Alvarez has been inconsistent and indecisive in his comments. For instance, they insisted on catch weight, now they say there's no need for a catch weight.
Hope Golovkin gets his big reward fight. He's waited long enough. Hope he delivers and it's a great fight. Not the biggest fan of Alvarez but when you take the attack to him he answers with very hard punches.
And Oscar's said Alvarez is having two more fights, meaning they don't want to fight for now.

They clearly don't want it. The guy boxed in the same division, but at a different weight, and didn't seem interested in unification at the proper weight.

I think a fight with GGG definitely ends in a KO defeat, given their styles, it seems inevitable. Canelo seems to have a very good chin, so I can see a prolonged beating ending in a TKO, which could be career shortening.
Canelo looks great against smaller guys, but he doesn't punch with the authority that GGG does, despite being a heavy handed puncher.

Yeah a sustained beating is very possible. Attractive fight, mind.
You're right, the chin could hold up for a good while and it could get painful. Hope Canelo has strong eye sockets.

GGG and Abel Sanchez said a while ago a offer was made to fight canelo but it was for next September, oscar has said that this is the offer they're talking about he wants two more fights before GGG so even if u don't agree he's admitting he doesn't want it right now

He's got a head like a bowling ball, and a chin like an anvil, he's got durable written all over his mush does Canelo.
Never seen him visibly flinch from a blow either.

Yes, that is indeed a very good point.

I think it is well known that Alvarez (or more specifically, his promoters) want absolutely nothing to do with Golovkin. Can you blame them really? He'd get handily beaten and possibly damaged enough to affect his future earnings potential.
If only boxing had some sort of overarching governing body which could mandate fights properly

If there was one governing body, there'd be bias and unfairness shown toward the more attractive fighters.

I think the Alvarez team is just stalling until Golovkin gets older while Canelo gets bigger.
But we learnt from the Mayweather Pacquiao debacle that waiting too long can end up with a dud.
From a business viewpoint I can see what they're doing but as a fan I want to see the fight sooner rather than later.

I still can't believe that Canelo fought Smith at 178. If that's true, his natural weight's 10 lb heavier than Golovkin's! 155 must be the absolute minimum he can reach, but he should be at 160 for his future health, if not 168.
Anyone know what Calzaghe and Froch fought at? I'd be surprised if either were 178; I'd say 175 for Joe. And my guess is that Ward walks around at 180.

Yes a dud, but it was exactly what Mayweather wanted, easy win with a past his best Pacquiao and this is what Alverez and his team are doing, hoping that Golokin will deteriate with age, then afterwards " Told you so" just like Mayweather and have his main rival's scalp on his record. Alverez has learned a lot about minipulation from his encounter with Mayweather.

i believe Joe came into the ring @182lbs vs Hopkins
