Really tough fight to call.

I think Gavin still got a couple of good performances left and edge him to win on points.

Wouldn't put money on it though, Eggington is a good fighter and will be the bigger man.

I'll probably go to this, not in any rush to buy tickets yet though seem to remember having tickets before

It is a shame. When he first turned over i was massively excited to watch how his career would unfold. Hopefully, it can kick on and generate a buzz about him again. Tough match to come back to though

No real news on the undercard (not confirmed anyway) wither so won't be rushing to get a ticket based on the main event. Last two times I've had a ticket to see Gavin fight he's not.

Ill be rooting for Eggington but expect Gavin to pick up the win here.

Felt a bit sorry for Eggington after the Skeete fight the way Barry Hearn was slagging him off, I wouldn't have blamed him if he chose to jump ship after that.

As far as I'm aware his been training and sparring. Saw a few tweets about people asked to spar him and let him down. But wasn't bothered because that was extra sessions. That was b4 eggington fight was announced.

Gavin just needs to copy the Skeete blueprint. Too skilled for Eggington. Points win for Funtime !

Don't know why but I'm starting to think Eggington will win, Frankie Gavin looks like he has aged badly in the face and I can Eggington walking through his shots.

Back in 2013 I told anyone who would listen Gavin would be a world champion no sweat and would box Brooks head off.

Silly prediction looking back on it now.

Haha I actually made a statement on social media that he could be our best boxer in the last twenty years or something stupid like that.

gavin couldve and shouldve been the world champ at ten stone by now. couldve been clowning the likes of broner and garcia in las vegas for mega bucks.....if only

Gavin is a dismal fighter to watch and always has been. Clearly doesn't take the game seriously enough. Doesn't go out of his way to make the optimal weight that he could. Couldn't even make weight for the Olympics. We all remember the beans on toast episode.

Woodhouse pushed him all the way and Bundu clearly beat him. He looked like a fish out of water vs Brook and was battered to the canvas.

Eggington has been in with a slickster in Skeete and will have learned a lot from that fight. That was all new and he was a bit befuddled and didn't quite know what to do. Now he's probably going to be in a similar situation but will probably have more impetus to drive forward even if it means taking some shots. This is where those 12 rounds with Skeete will help and he can only have learned from them. Especially seen as how Gavin doesn't appear that dedicated and has been broken badly in the past and been given tough fights by other fighters who employed aggressive tactics.

I would like to see Eggington win because I think he deserves it more than Gavin.

If I was forced to pick a winner, I'd probably side with Gavin though. Even though I've presented a case for Eggington, and I think he will definitely make a good fight of it, I have to go with Gavin's better skills. However, Gavin would get torn apart at world level by the likes of Spence, Thurman, Porter etc, who would walk through him and have way too much firepower.
