Stevenson has shown he really doesn't want to fight Kovalev but how about the smaller GGG ?

the fight would be at 175 with Stevenson outweighing GGG by a considerable amount at fight time , an intriguing match up. I would go with GGG by stoppage in the mid-rounds.

It shows how good GGG is that people are matching him with light heavyweights, and favouring him to beat them in some cases.

GGG is the better boxer - if he can take Stevenson's punch, he wins, probably by a mid-late stoppage.

GGG. But it would be damn interesting. Unlike every guy GGG has ever faced and there was zero drama as to who the winner would be in every fight.

I wouldn't write Stevenson off in that matchup.

It's horrendous that GGG has not yet been in a fight that there's any doubt he would win. I'd pick him over Stevenson and would be really looking forward to the fight.

If Stevenson lands his left, even Golovkin's chin may not hold, so I would say it is 50/50 fight.

How about Monroe or Lemieux vs Stevenson? No, really. If Stevenson connects like Brook did, GGG gets murdered.

But it would sure be a fun fight with a KO guarantee.

There’s no evidence of that. When Stevenson participated in the WBC’s purse bid, it was Kovalev that withdrew from the fight, not Adonis. Kathy Duva lobbied for the mandatory challenger status, but Kovalev withdrew himself from consideration when the WBC and Stevenson were willing to approve the fight.

The very same HBO vs. Showtime obstacle preventing Stevenson-Kovalev would also prevent Stevenson-GGG.

Sanchez would allow GGG to face Froch at 172lbs… GGG wanted Hopkins at 175lbs… GGG wants DeGale at 168lbs… GGG wanted Chavez Jr. at 168lbs… GGG wants Ramirez at 168lbs… GGG is only willing to face Ward at 164lbs… GGG is unwilling to face Cotto at 155lbs… GGG is unwilling to face Canelo at 155lbs… GGG was unwilling to face Brook at 157lbs… GGG is willing to face Mayweather Jr. at 154lbs…

If you can make sense of all that logic and then guess the weight that GGG would be willing to face Stevenson at, then you’re a better man than me!
