Stevenson-Alvarez in November?

The WBC ordered a mandatory title defense last year against WBC Diamond champion Sergey Kovalev of Russia in what would be one of the biggest fights possible. An agreement was not reached between the fighters' representatives, but the WBC continues to fully support both parties in their continued negotiations for this super fight.
· Eleider Alvarez defeated Isaac Chilemba by W12 in a defense of his silver title and final eliminator.
· Eleider Alvarez defeated Robert Berridge by UD10 in a non-title fight on July 29 same day as Stevenson defeated Thomas Williams by KO4 in a voluntary defense
· Alvarez mandatory to Adonis Stevenson. GYM, who promotes both fighters, has informed that the fight is set and will take place in November in Canada.
Anyone got anymore information on this?

It's next, depends on when PBC does it. Easy night for Stevenson.

Stevenson should win, but Alvarez is his best opponent since at least Fonfara, maybe Dawson.

I don't think the fight will be in November. They announced that Alvarez is the next contender against Stevenson but their was no mention of date or location yet.
Adonis will probably fight before the end of this year but we don't know against who.
Yvon Michel won't put Alvarez against Adonis yet, it's not profitable enough for him and his organization. But for sure we will eventually see a fight between those two.
I personally think Alvarez has no match against Stevenson. He is good but not experienced enough. Stevenson would KO him.
We have to understand the strength of Adonis left hand, it's something we've never seen before. If he connects nobody in any weight category can stay up.
I prefer watching Adonis vs Kovalev or Ward, that would bring more interest from boxing fans.
I just started a page for boxing fans on Facebook and Instagram. You can follow me @cornermanmike

Stevenson is so damn inconsistent, any good fighter can give him trouble sometimes.

Decent fight. Could be pretty dull though as they both like to counter.

The only person who wins from Kovalev/Ward happening before Kovalev/Stevenson was Duva.
If Ward scores a shutout UD over Kovalev, it wouldn't matter. Did it matter for Froch?
As long as Ward doesn't make him look weak, he'll be ok. HBO/fans will act like the fight never happened.
Then Kovalev could still fight Stevenson for big money. Kinda like a Froch/Bute fight.
At that point, a loss would hurt his status, but Duva woulda milked two big PPV type fights.
This whole situation at 175 is further evidence of how stupid & greedy the people who run this sport are.
3 legit p4p fighters and one killer prospect in a division, and no buzz.
As for Kovalev's loyalty to Duva, IT IS A PROVEN FACT that promoters see fighters as money making tools.
They don't care about them, EVER. For proof, see every promoter/boxer breakup.
It's never girl/boy breakup shit ... it's always years of money stealing and fighting behind the scenes.
All while hugging each other in the ring like Rocky/Adrien.
Maybe Europeans have forgotten their experience as slaves (much longer than blacks), but it's still fresh in the memories of Americans.
That's why American fighters are always switching promoters. Not because they lack loyalty,
but rather from an understanding/fear that they are being used.
I think most boxers should go that route. These promoters suck.
