Aye it's a kick in the peas but it was expected. Was short notice and too low key. Doubt we'll see it this year. Probably be looking at February now.

Interesting that they don't specify why he is medically unfit, and what actual treatment he is receiving.
He has lost all his ammo against Haye now.
I still think that it is linked to the UKAD thing.

Clearly the Hennesy statement implies Fury's out for the rest of the year at least. If he isn't stripped I'm speechless.

Unfortunately this is not a surprise. Not sure it will happen at all now.

If we assume he isn't facing a ban which could be what's up here I see absolutely no way that this fight takes place in the UK with the same people promoting it. I'm not referring to allegedly as they are the broadcasters not the promoters.
As another promoter said, it is genuinely a skill to be able to sell so few tickets for a show like this.
If Fury does not get banned for this alleged steroid incident then someone in his team has to see the light and have K2 promote the fight in Germany and use the belts that you have as the bargaining tool to get as good a percentage/purse as you can. The fight clearly aint making a dime over here promoted by these muppets.

The wording suggests, to me, something mental. I am as fed up as anyone with how this has played out but as someone who has someone in the family suffering from "issues", I am not going to condemn him and hope he sorts himself out.

It won`t happen. Gotta feel for Wlad as well. Poor sod was well up for this.
Wouldn`t be surprised if Fury never fights again and retires undefeated. Fat Mick must be well gutted, he finally hits the big time and his cash cow disappears.
People can slate Hearn all they want, but he knows how to promote his fighters. The build up to the two rematches for Fury v Wlad have been terrible in my opinion.
Likewise look at Terry Flanagan and the rest of Wazza`s stable. They hardly sell any tickets to their shows, hardly ever fight and have profiles the same size as my balls.

I'm a Fury fan, very p!ssed off
They completely slaughtered Haye for the same thing
I also respected the Fury camp as being honest within boxing terms, but for the first time now, over the last couple of months losing faith

I guess Fury just doesn't have the guts to deal with another staring contest against Wlad.

Here's what Dan Rafael has said
Although promoter Mick Hennessy gave no specific reason for the Tyson Fury- Wladimir klitschko heavyweight title rematch being called off again in his statement on Friday-- saying only that fury is "medically unfit to fight" and that he would "undergo the treatment he needs to make a full recovery" -- my sources, with knowledge of the correspondence between teams Fury and Klitschko outlining the reason the fight is off, said it is because Fury is having mental health issues, may be institutionalised and is "unavailable for the foreseeable future"

That's pretty much how I read the statement. It's all speculation at this stage though.

yeah yeah Dan, we can all read between the lines in a statement that had obvious conclusions.

True. Rafael does tend to have good sources in the Klitschko camp though. They've probably been told the real reason for why the fight isn't going ahead out of courtesy. It's sad if true.

Fury said he had reached the pinacle and would never get the same buzz again
I don't think his mind can get motivated to get tip top fit enough to beat Wlad - which he knows he will need to be this time round

Fury's not taking that fight. He has pulled out. Not Wlad. I know this for a fact. Give it a day or two and you'll see the official statement.

Best of luck to Fury in his recovery.
He's a husband & father so hopefully he gets well soon.

Can't have helped that after reaching the pinnacle, and pulling one of the greatest upsets in boxing history, he took atleast as much critisism as praise.

He just couldn't keep his vile comments to himself, that's why half the country turned against him.
