Chocolatito Not Pleased With Offer For Inoue, Prefers Cuadras

WBC super flyweight champion Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez (46-0, 38KOs) was recently presented with a unification offer to take on WBO king Naoya 'The Monster' Inoue (11-0, 9KOs). Gonzalez is represented by Teiken Promotions, while Inoue's promoter is very close with the head of Teiken.
Gonzalez recently picked up the WBC title with a hard-fought decision over another Teiken fighter, undefeated Carlos Cuadras. Inoue was ringside to watch the contest at the Forum in Inglewood, California. Chocolatito is not happy with the money being offered for a fight with Inoue. He believes HBO would offer up more money if he faced Cuadras in a rematch. The fight with Cuadras was very close and there were a few who felt the contest could have been a draw.

He's more concerned with the possibility of Inoue kicking his ass.

Personally I like the idea of having Inoue and Gonzo fight on the same card to introduce Inoue to American fans and build up the fight. Something like this:
Gonzalez vs. Concepcion
Inoue vs. Cuadras
But you could swap Estrada in there for Concepcion and I'd be just as happy if not happier.

A lot of fans starting to hate on Gonzalez now and jumping on Inoue's wagon.
Anywho, I agree with above poster, HBO don't see money in this fight, so on GGG's next card, have Gonzalez fight Cuadras and have Inoua fight someone aswell. Exposure for everyone.

The Cuadras fight was entertaining and competitive, but the result wasn't questionable and I'd rather see Gonzalez move on to someone else.
I like the idea of that tournament, both to avoid going over old territory, and to get Inoue some US exposure.

Common sense, therefore, don't hold your breath.

He isn't the better fighter but stylewise Estrada might give Inoue more problems than Roman would.

Talking about that, Mr Ohashi seemed to suggest that COULD happen in December with Estrada throwing his name in to the hat to face Naoya, if the Monster can't get Concepcion or Ancajas.

Inoue beats Gonzalez towards the end of 2017.

DUCK
HBO can't control Inoue, so they'll push for the Cuadras rematch.
I can't see how Roman can improve. However, Cuadras had the momentum ending the fight.
Usually, the Cuadras fighter wins the rematch ... easily.
