Breaking news: Junior lightweight titlist Vasyl Lomachenko will return on Nov. 26 in a defense against fellow former featherweight titlist Nicholas Walters, who signed the contract on Tuesday, according to Top Rank. The fight will be on HBO and take place at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

Walters is a big dude with a pretty solid jab. The draw with Sosa, which should've been a clear win, also looks better considering what Sosa has done since. Loma is obviously very quick and skilled, particularly with his footwork, but I wonder if he'll struggle with Walters' strength and physicality.

Walters is much bigger and probably stronger, Lomachenko is faster and more skilled.
If they were the same size I'd pick Loma to win, but because of the size difference it's close to a 50-50 matchup.

In 2016, I've heard that the following fights were supposed to happen: Fury - Wlad 2, Wilder - Povetkin, Kovalev - Ward, Lomanchenko - Walters. I bet none of those are going to fall through.

I know he turned down a fight before. So what? That means he shouldn't be allowed to work at all?
Good fight. I hope Walters layoff doesn't cause him to drop early rounds because he can't afford to get too far behind Lomachenko.

Finally! We have a couple great match-ups. Even though it looks to be on a regular HBO broadcast, I would certainly shell out some dough for this one. Ward/Kov has huge potential to be an anticlimactic stinker. But, I'm hoping Kov can get some good work done.

I'd give Lomachenko a very slight edge. Definitely a must see fight.

chilemba vs Gvozdyk will be good too , maybe this year can be partially salvaged one of the worst years of boxing I have seen.

Lomachenko is the man. Already a 2 weight world champion with wins over Russell Jr. and Rocky Martinez after 7 fights, potentially adding Walters to his resume in his 8th fight? The guy is incredible.

There's no way Walters can match the Loma's work rate and he's been criticized for his conditioning throughout his career. But it sure will be interesting to see what happens if Walters is able to land a couple of his bombs on the chin of Loma. There's a pretty good chance that this could be a classic and fight of the year candidate. Can't wait.

i think Lomachenko's footwork will be the main difference and will make Walters look slow and susceptible to attackes from angles
