I like the Fury clan but I have been left a bit disappointed in Peter's comments recently and have to side with fast car Eddie for a change regarding the Joshua fight offer.

If Peter thought, really thought Hughie could win a world title and beat Joshua then they would not be pricing themselves out of this fight because the serious money would come once he wins the title. Stop all this talk of Hughie being the best fighter ever and struggling to find decent fights for him when he has never contended for the Lonsdale.

Sorry Hughie, sorry Peter, but time to let your actions do the talking from now on. Go the same route as Tson did, he had a number few tough fights against the likes of John Mcdermott and Chisora.

I would say even though they are past their prime that Mcdermott and Chisora now would give serious problems to Hughie. Dare I say it might even beat him.

Kasai and that inbred guy who lost to Browne are decent scalps.

Kasai arguably beat Breazeale who is AJs best win. His record is fine and he should keep fighting guys on that level for now.

Tons of fighters who fight for alphabet titles haven't beaten anyone worth a damn. Nothing new at all.

Where does this concept of 'deserving challenger' come from in this day and age?

Hughie has done remarkably well considering his age and health problems if these are fully resolved and that's a big if he will be a force in the division in the next few years. AJ is just too strong for him at the moment though.

Main thing Hughie needs is a year being health free.
He's young enough to wait for a big challenging fight.
These learning fights are perfectly acceptable due to his age and health.
Can't blame his father talking about big fights. Part of his job is to promote his fighter and keep his name in the limelight which is exactly what they do.

but for me that doesn't mean much, I'm not sold on AJ or Hughie fury at all.....yet.

Lets see how the next 12-24 months transpires

I hope Mick Hennessy keeps control of Hughie's career and doesn't rush him into fights too soon.

IMO Hughie has shown good talent, dedication and discipline in his fights so far & may develop more power in the next year. He could be a serious force in the heavyweight division for years to come, but take a bit more time. British or Commonweath and EBU titles would add a lot to his experience levels and might win over some more credibility.

It's true to say he wouldn't be challenging a seasoned world champion in Joshua but another 12 months could make a huge difference and would probably be taken a lot more serious by more fans = bigger fight.

Peter said Hughie would be the youngest ever world heavyweight champ yet won't let him fight Dillian Whyte.

His opposition is alright, but I don't get why he hasn't gone for titles.

He needs Tyson to be active - he hasn't got the talent or the personality to do it on his own, even though every opponent has been carefully picked and paid for

He's fighting at a high level for his age, even with health problems. He certainly atleast has the talent to have a respectable career from it.
