BREAKING NEWS: Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, who pulled out of an Oct. 29 rematch with Wladimir Klitschko last week due to what his promoter termed as Fury being "medically unfit," was notified that he failed a VADA-conducted test for cocaine in a random urine sample collected on Sept. 22, multiple sources with knowledge of the test results told ESPN.com. The results of VADA's testing for performance enhancing drugs are not yet complete, but the positive cocaine test likely will result in Fury being stripped of his world title belts.

Coming down from the high of a coke binge can cause depression, so he wasn't lying after all!!

Good think they have stricter gun control, or he could have ended like Jermain Taylor.

Like I said before, the whole Fury family are frauds. And no, this is not a witch hunt against poor Tyson.

The way this guy is always acting high strung and wide eyed it was rather clear he was a coke user. Failing a test was a matter of time.

There is no boxer on the earth, who is better using cocaine than opposite. Simply, cocaine can not help in boxing ! No way !

It's more about bringing the sport into disrepute.

I don't really understand some of the comments here. Drug dependency can affect anyone. I think it's a shame more than anything else.

Way to blow 20 millions !
Boxers strive all their lives for these kinds of purses. He had beaten the champion, and was due to cash in on his biggest purse ever.
Now it's completely gone, most probably for good.
Good riddance, Fury.
Never liked the persona.

Well, the alphabet boys can strip him of their Christmas cracker toy world title belts & that should leave the so-called linear title vacant too as he cannot possibly keep that under these circumstances.

Let's have a little compassion here Fellas. The guy obviously has a drug problem and dealing with some serious demons. The kid grew up poor and then all of a sudden, he's he heavyweight champion of the world. Some people are poised enough to handle the fame or fortune that comes along with that but many surely are not and I think that we all know now which category Fury is in.
But in reality, drug addiction is a bitch. And you can blame the person all you want for getting into that situation but you also need to understand how difficult it is to get that monkey off of your back once it's there. So we should all be disappointed with him for screwing up but at some point, you just hope this doesn't turn into a tragic story. Getting off that stuff is harder than any training camp or 12 round fight so he deserves a bit more compassion in my opinion and I really disliked the guy before hearing this news.

Depression and trying to get off coke are one and the same.
Hell, I'm an arse until I've had 2 cups of coffee, so I assume coke is like that times 1,000.

Well said.
He's going to regret this in a few years when he's tarmacing people's front gardens.

Same thing happened to Leon Spinks.

Still better than doing PEDs, cocaine just harmed himself, and either way he'll lose the titles.
He's still young, take a break, get clean, get in shape & do a great comeback in a few years.

Fury jokingly said that everybody, emphasizing that word, in big time boxing was using something.
I like the guy and I wish they could salvage the big fight. Also I am sick of all this drug crap interfering with boxing. Cocaine isn't going to make him a better boxer, nor will all those other drugs they've been getting hysterical over recently. The opposite is much more likely to be the case. Charge him with illegal narcotics if they must but if Wlad is willing let the fight go on.

I'd have to say, Dan Rafael, ESPN Senior Writer is usually a very, very, very unreliable source, he's one of the, if not THE, worst boxing writers on earth. He's a massive lier, especially in the heavyweight league. Against Fury, as well by Povetkin and usually in an unfair advantage of Wilder.

Fury is boxing real clever here, take a long break, let all the the top boys fight and cancel eachother other, then come back as undefeated champ and fight the best for huge money for the lineal title, smart move from the champ.
