Surely an announcement, or announcement there's going to be an announcement has to come soon? What is there, 8 (?) Weeks left ...!!

Less than 8 weeks now.

The way I see it, Hearn for Joshua and Duco for Parker are just posturing each other at the moment with all the name dropping that is coming out of both camps.

Until we know whether Fury will be stripped, and by which organisations, all this posturing b.s. is likely to continue. Meanwhile November 26th is getting closer and closer.

Wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being Duhaupas (known to step up on short notice and coming off a credible win) or Takam. I doubt it will be anyone major if the November 26th date holds.

I agree. Wouldn't be surprised if Joshua's next fight is delayed beyond Nov 26th though. With so much politics going on with the heavyweight belts at present anything is possible.

The year that the Heavyweight division was meant to be the most meaningful one, again, has delivered bugger all.

Fury was the guy we can thank for separating the belts from the domination of Wlad. But now, again due to Fury, things are in a state of absolute turmoil.

David Price, Jarell Miller or Duhaupas is a good shout in fact he would be AJs best opponent to date.

Be hilarious if it's Price

Wilder usually fights on a lot shorter notice, I secretly hope he will fight Povetkin, Povetkin earned a fight against a top opponend instead of a bum like Stiverne.

The longer they take to announce the more shìt the opponent is going to be! Fast car only said the other day that AJ v Wlad is 'probable'! He's talking pish flaps IMO.

Awful fight. That's a hard sell even for Eddie!

I'm confused as to why Price keeps getting mentioned? He's about as far from being contender as is possible. That guy he fought on Saturday looked like they'd just dragged him out of the pub.

You could whck Danny Williams in, it'd be about as credible.

Every possibility they push it back to the 10th Dec. Fairly sure they have the date "reserved" at the MEN as a backup.

I'm sure it will be Price. No insider info. Just a hunch. Talk up bigger names, even if you've not approached them, then blame circumstance.

'He's the biggest puncher in British boxing blah blah...'

Well at least fans will be able to get the 11-05 train back home if its Price. Price will blow his duds!

They are saying 8 weeks is not long enough to make a PPV event. I may be wrong here, sorry if I am, but didnt the Mayweather v Pac fight get done and dusted in about 6 weeks and we all know how that turned out (outside of the actual fight I mean)

Who said that? So they're not putting AJ on box office then? I'll be surprised if he's on regular Sky. If he is you just know it's gonna be that big stiff Price!

Yeah I'm sure Mayweather v Pacquiao was organised in around 6-8 weeks.

Fights should be PPV not fighters. If they put Joshua on PPV against some 2nd rate fighter like Dauphos or Price then there is no way it can be PPV.

and therein lies the rub. When people are willing to buy it, they will be willing to sell it. tbh as much as I hate it, if they did not go that route (if it was the biggest cash generator), he would be an idiot and bad promoter.

I'll eat my own head if it's Vlad. They obviously don't want Parker before squeezing another easy voluntary in, so why would they fight Vlad?

Correct the sensible thing to do is get Parker now while , he's still in the learning process,, Parkers mob , there not stupid they know Parker is learning ,and thats why there not pushing for the fight
. Monetary wise its a ppv with interest so should do ok but unless Parker wins the other belts and AJ is challenging for them its nothing more ,,
So correct , if there scared of Parker , they will shit themselves at the thought of Vlad .
