Heard he has gone back to Wales and given up boxing. His Dad pushed him too young I was told and wants out....any truth in this?

Couldn't really give two shìts tbh! Was never really impressed with him at all.

Wasn't impressed with him but he seemed a nice lad and trained like a beast.

He'll probably go away, do a load of stupid young people's stuff, realise he wants to be a boxer again at 26-30 but have missed loads of time and done silly trhings insetad. Then he'll fall to a few mediocre losses, always wondering what might have happened had he dedicated himself fully to the sport and followed it through. Or am I being harsh and presumptious?

Probably burnt himself out already you can't train like that for years without breaks madness.

He has quite boxing for now, and he doesn't sell any tickets....literally none.

Certainly seemed from the outside that his dad was pushing him much too hard and from a very young age. Hopefully he takes a decent break and decides properly what he wants to do with his life.

If nothing else, he'll always be remembered for being introduced by Juliet on the balcony before one of his ringwalks

Reminds of that Richard Sandrak lad.

At least he can go and forage for nuts again.

Strikes me as a fitness obsessive so I can't see it. Hell prob do iron man contests and shit like that

Its obviously easier if you have loads of mates, brothers, sisters, cousins and uncles etc but even they will soon get fed up forking out £40 to watch them win a shutout 4 rounder against boxers with 05-50 type records.

The likes of Hatton etc. his dad was into football, owned a carpet shop and owned a pub so obviously knew loads of people and could drum up decent ticket sales from the beginning to get the ball rolling.

Saw Romeos dad kicking off on Ohara Davies at York Hall for a fight. Romeo looked genuinely embarrassed.

Loved running about the woods and lifting logs. Really nice lad and I wish him success and happiness.
Always thought promotionally they were trying to turn him into a gimmick. Fair play to him for resisting and just being himself.
