Do you expect fair judges (Kovalev vs. Ward ) ?

What do you think about ? Can you imagine a gift decision ?

A gift decision is never out of the question. Pac vs Bradley 1 showed us that. That being said I expect the judging will be fair in Kovalev vs Ward. No reason for judges to favor one over of the other here.

Don't see why you wouldn't expect it. Neither have ever had a gift decision over anyone. (never had to)

No way. A Russian against an American at this time ? No way there will be fair judging. Kovalev needs to make sure that there is no question who the winner is, and he is capable of doing so.

In Boxing drawing power is the most important thing. Kovalev is the bigger draw than Ward I'd imagine so they won't f*ck him over if he earns the win.

The sheer volume of accusations of bribery and corruption between promoters and the official judges’ that you’ve submitted on this forum actually makes me wonder why you even bother to watch the sport if you genuinely harboured those feelings. :o

Therefore, why do bother to follow the sport of boxing, when you pretty much despise the vast majority of people involved in it, barring a select few Eastern European fighters and their entourage?

Look even at this poster. Nice kind American and a vile Russian. I understand that it could be a part of promotion, but what about 99% of recent Russia related articles in Western press ?

Very true. They will try to make sure the Russian-born boxer loses and the American-born boxer wins.

The referee will be very important in this fight. Ward is extremely overrated, he's unable to beat Kovalev in a fair fight and knows it. He'll need to use a lot of dirty stuff to win, and the ref will likely permit him to use all the illegal tactics he wants.

And of course the judges will be there to guarantee a Ward win.

How on earth have you interpreted this poster as being racist pro-American propaganda? Are you one of those poor souls that feels victimised for no damn reason, regardless of your hypocritical and hyperbolic nonsense posts?

Have you actually seen the front cover of Sergey Kovalev’s very own book (taken from his own Twitter feed)?

Sergey Kovalev’s moniker is “Krusher”… and he adopts an aggressive grimace in quite a few of his promotional photos (to adhere to this marketing gimmick persona) that you can view on his own Twitter feed!

Yes I can read… and you don’t get away with posting an outrageously stupid comment like that by including such a weak and trivial caveat to conceal your thinly-veiled racist accusations!

It’s actually interesting that you didn’t quote the entirety of your own words or that stupid poster you used to justify your accusations of the media employing “racist pro-American propaganda” tactics against Kovalev and Russians in general! :yay:

Please try to recover some measure of your dignity and credibility amongst your fellow forum users by apologising for your astonishing stupidity!

You are an idiot. Cold war is back, and it is not about race but about the world order.

OMFG! I quoted your words and then undermined your racist anti-American sentiments using Kovalev’s very own Tweets… and instead of addressing my post head-on, you resort to insults, because you’ve got nothing else left in your armoury! You’re utterly powerless to defend your lunacy!

Dummy, you can repeat "racist" 100 times, but there was nothing related to race in my post, so you will keep proving to be an idiot.

And no, I will not address your idiotic posts.

Please learn what the word “racist” means and then please post an apology to the forum. :TU:

I already posted a definition of racism in the other similar thread. By the way, if you pay attention to the poll in that thread, you may learn that only 13% think that judges will be fair to Kovalev. The rest must be rasists

boxing_rocks wrote:You are an idiot. "Racism" is based on race. If it is based on nationality, it is called differently.
The definition of a “racial group” that is being discriminated against, in the context of the phrase "racism", is derived from the governmental “Crown Prosecution Service” meaning of the phrase, which is the legal term used to evaluate racist motivated crimes in the UK:

Racial group – this means any group of people who are defined by reference to their race, colour, nationality (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origin.”

Indeed, the UK-based official BBC website defines the term “racism” accordingly:

Racism is when someone is discriminated against (singled out) because of their race, the colour of their skin, their nationality, their accent or first language, or their ethnic or national origin. Racism is a hate crime, and is illegal.

Therefore, when you claim that the British and German officials would discriminate against Sergey Kovalev, solely due to his nationality, you’re not only accusing them of being “racists”, but you are labelling them as criminals, which is a slanderous claim.
You've been making the very same ludicrous claims against the American officials in regards to the Kovalev-Ward fight as you did against the German and UK officials, before the bout has even taken place.
boxing_rocks wrote:Officials in the U.K. or Germany wouldn't be fair to Kovalev either, even in "normal" circumstances. Now, with anti-Russian hysteria in Western press, there is no way he gets fair treatment.

Does anyone know whos reffing this fight? My god, I hope its not Kenny Bayless. Not only does he not allow the fighters to free themselves from clinches and fight, he doesn't penalize excessively engaging in clinches and disrupts the act of clinching by constantly breaking it. It becomes a fencing match.

The judges and ref certainly could make some difference in this fight, but it's hard to see Kovalev outpointing Ward without knockdowns anyway.

No, I don't. I also expect the ref to be firmly in Ward's corner too.

i believe you can make a video like
that with pretty much every fighter
if you have enough recorded fights.

a really dirty fighter to me was mike
tyson, especially his elbow choke on
the side where the ref couldn't watch.
mine hurt just from looking at this ...

UK fighter has an advantage against a foreign fighter in UK, German in Germany, American in USA, Russian in Rusia, etc...etc...It is a simple truth, unfortunately. I wouldn't call this racism. By the way, I think that a good part of US white supremacists will root for Kovalev.
