I can't remember what thread it was but we were discussing what Audley Harrison might think of the Danny Williams victory. Well he has posted an official reply on his website;

Sounds a bit like he's trying to bathe in reflected glory to me. Still there could be worse things then two British Heavyweights fighting for a World Title.

This is well deserved, and he should bask in the glory; and maybe he won?t be so envious of me in the future as he will see, when you produce substance in your career, you are thrust in the limelight and the roller coaster begins.

I'm sure if the roles had been reversed -unlikely though that would be at the current time - Danny wouldn't exactly have been quiet about it.

Danny doesn't need Audley any more, and Audley knows it, that's why he's getting in there early. Based on that performance, he would muller Harrison, but whether he is capable of performing like that against Audley is dubious. He might not raise his game to that level ever again, I hope he does though.

now other than holidays to Alton Towers what roller coasters could Audley be referrng to? I always thought that rooler coasters reflected highs and lows... what highs has Audley had in his professional career exactly? winning a British title, Commonwealth one maybe, showing true fighting heart when being beaten and hurt against your opponent? picking yourself up off the canvas knowing full well you were probably going straight back down again? travelling abroad and winning convincingly? taking part in a meaning full fight?

Lol your dead right mate, for all his flaws Williams has at least been there and done it where as Audley is still filling his hype machine with petrol. Only the trouble is he's the only person listening to himself now as most reasonable and logical thinking Boxing fans have got wise to him, WAKE UP AUDLEY YOU ARE YESTERDAYS NEWS!! And until you raise your game and fight someone "live" then you will remain just that, stop living on your Olympic medal and wise up to pro-boxing.
