70-30% would be a fair split for GGG-Jacobs fight

Let's face it GGG has 3 major titles (WBC,WBA super and IBF) and he sells out arenas(MSG,O2,Forum). Jacobs is a good fighter but he can't do big numbers, so 30% which is more than 25% is fair enough.
Some people are gonna say this is the same situation to Canelo-GGG fight and GGG should take Canelo's offer but it isn't! GGG is the middleweight king pin and his boxing profile is keep growing. Ain't the same thing!

The typical high profile GGG opponent receives an average of 43% of the purse split... and Danny Jacobs is the best 160lb-er that Golovkin would have faced.

Being a draw is irrelevant. Look at the purse split percentages earned by other high-profile world-ranked opponents that GGG has faced, since most of those weren't draws, and then re-evaluate your thoughts.

Things to consider:
1. rules should be of utmost importance
2. being or not being a draw can be a factor in the equation
3. ABC straps
..not sure one should succumb to the pressure of the high profile promoter and pay extra for the unwillingness of his boxer to fight...

Of course its relevant, boxing is a spectator sport and what you bring to the table in terms of star power is as much a factor as your ability in the ring, most of his recent opponents had enough of a following to deserve a higher percentage especially those not from the U.S as they had the support of entire countries, theres not much of an angle on Jacobs hence he's not a good sell, its a business after all

Like it or not Jacobs may be the best opponent for GGG, so Jacobs deserves 2.5 mill. dollars. Jacobs and Saunders are the only top 160 opponents for GGG till Canelo will move up to 160 lbs division.

1.5 is big money too but Jacobs knows he would get T/K.O, so he's trying to cash out.

So it seems that there are Golovkin-biased people that have submitted posts in this thread bodly-proclaiming that by demanding more than 25% of the purse split, Danny Jacobs is being unreasonable, running scared and is also pricing himself out of the fight, despite the following facts being irrefutably true:
• The Miracle Man is rated by ESPN, Ring & BoxRec as the second best 160lb-er on the planet, ranked immediately below GGG
• Gennady Golovkin has never faced a middleweight opponent with an ESPN, Ring & BoxRec rating as high as Danny Jacobs
• The Miracle Man received $1.5m for his first round stoppage victory over Peter Quillin and none of GGG’s previous opponents have ever received a payday anywhere near that size
• The average high profile Gennady Golovkin opponent is paid an average of 43% of the total combined fight purse
• Danny Jacobs’ attorney has petitioned the WBA for a 40% share of the total fight purse, which is slightly less than the average paid to high-profile GGG opponents

So, let's just replace Lemieux with Jacobs:
• Golovkin = $2m; Jacobs = $1.5m (42.9%)
Will you or Jacobs be satisfied with that ??? I can repeat for dummies: it is not about percentages, but about absolute amounts.
