In pure financial terms, Canelo Álvarez has every right to demand at least 75% split of the total purse… and for obvious reasons, it’s unlikely that K2 would be willing to accept 25%, because after all… it takes two to tango… and there is no super-fight for the Mexican at 160lbs without Golovkin.
Therefore, I’d expect GBP and K2 to agree a purse-split figure in the region of 60%-65% for Canelo, with the remainder going to Golovkin.
